"best Db software for .net applications"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

I enjoy using the MS SQL backup and replication options. I've used log shipping for a few years, and it can be a real life saver at times. The best feature we can get from a DB software like this is concurrent replication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

When the DB log file reaches a certain size, it becomes a serious problem for the DB's ability to run queries quickly. and the entire DB performance will be slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid Database management system"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Good product for managing your database and great product for data integration. Microsoft SQL server is pretty stable and able to handle large amount of data requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

We use Microsoft SQL server for a number of applications. Frequently we are running into storage issues. This could be everytime workaround by shrinking, clearing logs, reseting. So technically there is enough space, but how it is being handled does not seem efficient. There should smarter solutions to keep data usage low. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Using SQL server with Teamcenter for PLM operations"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Ms. SQL server easily manages an organization's data and rarely malfunctions, if at all. Once set up, it requires very little maintenance. Compared to Oracle, the integration with Teamcenter is seamless. When we have to clone a production environment, the SQL server management studio app facilitates the process with a few clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Ms SQL is not for novices using relational databases. Programming skills are needed to resolve initial setup errors, create users, set up authorizations, etc. Understanding individual errors can be challenging. Although there is plenty of help online, finding the right solution may be on a case basis. With experience, a user can avoid them; however, someone new may have a hard time resolving database issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Easy to deploy, secure, scale, and manage using Microsoft Azure Cloud services. Connectivity and integration with other Azure and non-Azure services are also wonderful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Backup-restore is still an area where it can be improved. Automated deployment of the production tables still needs to be done with manual scripts, it would be awesome, if there is an automated way to do it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
