The reports are cumbersome and do not provide the details we would like in our construction business. It almost seems like the system is more designed for lump sum projects. The thing I like best with Computerease is the cloud - based features, we can log in to system remotely and they have everything secured and I feel safe that my system will not get hacked by all the security measures that they have in place. I have been using the cloud base system of Computerease for the last 10 years and I log into the system daily and never had any issues with getting in. Computerease allows a lot of flexibiltiy; intergration and implementation with our estimating system and the ease of use. The accounting process is very easy to use, easy to navigate through all the modules to find reports and other job/maintenance functions. Customer support has quick response times and excellcent representatives that are very knowledgeable and are willing to help or figure out any issues. They also have webinars to introduce additional features/modules available with ComputerEase which help identify best practices and applications to get the most from the software and I like that they save all training videos for you to access anytime. I really don't have any dislikes but I do feel that there is so much to learn and what Computerease can do that it can be a little overwhelming. The immediate chat inquiries through the online portal are crucial for our company. Sometimes problems arrise and we need a quick answer. We believe it is a good program with very many capabilities. I think more webinars would be beneficial so we can ask more questions to find out all that the program does. I think alot of our system is left unused because we just don't know all it can do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ComputerEase works very well for our copmany. I utilize it daily to run cost reports, show insights into our projects, and analyze costs frome very angle. I really do not have any dislikes. It took a little bit of time at the beginning to understand where everything is and how to use it, but it is pretty intuitive and easy to catch on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how customizable it became with the introduction of the work flow view. It allows you to streamline various processes done in the system on a regular basis and names can be edited to something that makes the most sense for your specific business. It also helps when setting up new users that may not have a ton of experience with the program. I also like that you can't really delete anything once it's posted to the GL. It does cause reports to look messy if you enter something incorrectly and have to go back and fix it but that makes you focus on making all entires correct the first time and reduces the chance of malicious activity. I dislike the system doesn't have the option to use gross contract values with tax included in certain areas of the program. For example, in the AIA invoicing module you have to enter the pre-tax contract value of each line on your SOV rather than with tax so when the pay app generates it doesn't match our SOV approved by our GC clients b/c they want to see gross values rather than pre-tax with sales tax stated seperately on the cover page so we have to make our AIA pay apps outside of the system and when we post the pay apps in CE we don't even break out the SOV we just use one line for original contract and then a line for each CO so the system is really only used to track billing on an overall basis we can't use it to actually generate pay apps to send to the client. When integrating payroll with Deltek ComputerEase, it involves a combination of exporting files (jobs/employees) to FieldEase and importing time from employees each week. It involves multiple avenues instead of being centrally located in one spot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
