I like the the navigtion of the system is fairly straightforward. Using it every day it is a system that can be learned in only a couple of months and it is good for accounting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a lot of manual processes when it comes to payroll. The FieldEase time application is completely antiquated and it is not a time saver when it comes to overtime calcuations and review of nontax entries. The tracking/auditing of updates or changes is non-existant which makes understanding why something happened quite difficult. It is difficult to get direct support over the phone if ther is an immediate problem, only tickets are available and scheduled calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.


The best thing I feel Deltek ComputerEase is does is to accurately track job costing to get the best understanding of how to manage jobs to profitability. In addition I feel it helps with estimating new projects. Estimators that are bidding similar jobs that they have in the past can look at past similar jobs to truly understand if their estimate needs adjustment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would say the least helpful part is the API portion. I believe they've made progress but still need to consider more direct open API's with service platforms such as ServiceTrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've been using ComputerEase since before 2002, and we really like the format, the updates, the people who help solve any issues we have.

This isn't a dislike, just something I wish could be changed.
We can't change the vendor number on accounts payable when a company sells to a different company. So have to change the vendor name, then remember what the business used to be called. Example - Laclede Gas is now Spire.
The same goes for when an employee gets married.
It's confusing to know who to contact for whatever issue you may be having. Is it ComputerEase or Deltek or now Emptist? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
