231 DbVisualizer Reviews

DbVisualizer offers a clean and intuitive interface that makes it easy to connect to different databases without much setup. I appreciate its wide range of supported databases and the ability to visually explore database structures. It’s lightweight yet powerful, perfect for daily SQL querying, schema navigation, and ad hoc reporting. The tool's customization options, like bookmarks and favorites, make repetitive tasks more efficient. It also integrates well into different workflows without heavy resource usage. While DbVisualizer is great for basic and intermediate database work, its advanced query editing and visualization features could be more competitive compared to some more specialized tools. Sometimes the performance slows down a bit when dealing with very large result sets. Also, the free version has some useful features locked behind the Pro version, which might be limiting depending on your needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My most favorite feature it's that I can connect any database in one app Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Once I setted double click to open object instead of expand it and now it's a little bit aanoying, but not critical Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most is the ability to edit data directly within a grid — it’s intuitive, efficient, and makes managing data much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside I've encountered is the lack of IntelliSense support for stored procedures, which would greatly enhance the development experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It consolidated all database connection into one page, and I can use some great features such as export data to file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, I like all features, but probably they can improve memory usage when it comes to load many data from database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use DB Visualizer continuously throughout my day.
The ease of use is great. I can see all my data easily and perform any data operation that I need.
The ability to export/import data to/from files is crucial for some of the work I do. This works great for minor backups when doing data manipulations on critical databases.
The online documentation is thorough and well written. The only time I needed customer support, they were quick responding and solved my issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't much that I find that is missing. The one item that I think would beneficial (in my cases) is to be able to use script variables in filenames when exporting to a file from and SQL script.
Even without this feature, I would recommend this software to any developer that needs to work with databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's complicated to higlight 1 stuff. A lot of functionalities and the interface are best ;-) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's not possible to search about database Objetcs (Oracle in my case) directly into the DB (dictionary) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Look and feel, ease of use, dark theme, keyboard shortcuts Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Code completion is not available/inadequate, code folding functionality missing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Working in a school district, I deal with a lot of databases from a lot of different vendors. With DbVisualizer, I can easily switch between all the various databases (including Oracle, MariaDB, mySQL, and Microsoft SQL server), all from one interface. I use this application daily in my position as Data Manager. Installation and configuration was simple. Customer support has always been fast and friendly, but I have not needed to contact them frequently. Pricing is extremely reasonable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wish there was a solarized color scheme, though the dark theme in v24.2 is pretty good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Free version available, perpetual pro license, and discounted upgrade path for upgraded licenses. Pro features rival those of database vendors' query tools. Scheme visualization and editor tools. Query result exports of either selected rows/columns or all results. Migration tools have been greatly helpful. And of course, all the various tools I expect to have in any quality database query tool. I've never had a problem that internet searches haven't been able to solve, so I've never had to contact support for anything other than a license problem I caused when upgrading once. It was rectified right away and without hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When looking at the raw table data on some large tables, it slows quite drastically if you disable the max rows setting (which I've done and regretted on numerous occasions). There have been historically a little messiness with regard to creating functions, stored procedures, triggers, and such. However I believe they recently fixed that in the current version 12. Lastly, finding some of the configuration properties (like how dates/clob/blobs are displayed) seem a bit more difficult than they should. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the best options with DbV is the Query Builder. Being able to build queries through this tool helped me to visualize and understand syntax, table joins, and many other features. I was a beginner when I started but now I am not only able to write queries with out the query builder, I also have a better understanding of how to use a db to maximize the data analysis. This is one tool that I open first thing in the morning and use it all day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I also use SQL Server and I think one feature that would be nice is the side by side screens so I can run 2 or more queries at one time and see the results on one tab instead of 2. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
