It has a friendly user interface, supports most mainstream databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, MySQL, SQLite, etc.), and is supported technically by a fantastic team! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Pro version, which is needed for advanced database work, is not free (though the cost is reasonable). The software, although solid, has occasional hiccups (e.g., freezing up). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm a Linux user and the fact I can utilize DBvisualizer to connect to a variety of systems makes my job easier. I'm in a unique development/consulting type roll with my own company and I would on a vast array of different systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't figured out how to configure the show timeout for connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very easy to use, very fast and reliable. In my years as DB administrator I have not found a more elegant tool. In our company we use it almost daily and although I let my employees choose their toolset themselves they usually also stick to DBVisualizer as switching to it is very easy.
In the years of usage of DBVisualizer I only had two contacts with the customer support and in all these cases the requests were handled with quickly and professionally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although it is totally useable in the free version, the paid license adds so much functionality that afterwards you feel very limited using the free version again.
There are some user exerience pitfalls that could be improved like modal dialogs in some situations that do not make sense in my eyes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the many drivers that connects to different database server types easily. This gives me the confidence as a writer and database admin to work with any database and combine them to solve my problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think more specific features of these partner database servers should be added for each connection. That way you can use most of their services from DbVisualizer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The layout and navigation of the tool is so intuitive. It makes interacting with our databases easy. I have tried several different database management tools and DBVisualizer is by far my favorite. It also has all of the tools I need in one place. I use it every day as part of my job. If you interact with databases regularly I would highly recommend DBVisualizer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The licesning process is my only complaint with DBVisualizer. A more intuitive, online licensing platform would be very helpful. There is an option for an enterprise license but having a simple online dashboard to manage licenses would make the process of working with DBVisualizer in a team environment much easier. Everything is really solid but offering more built-in connectors would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

* bulk operations at the DB schema level - export all tables to a single CSV
* quick search field in result is good
* filters on artefacts
* quick SQL generator tools for a table Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
* SQL editor autocomplete could have more features. I use an IDE to write complex scripts.
* A code formatter would be nice Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

DbViz covers most of the modern databases. It's a very configurable and powerable tool. It keeps the editing history. Customer support is responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The history search is lacking. There is no option to choose NO time zone for results, which make it very inconvenient in some cases. It's definitely not intuitive and easy to use. The favorites is very lacking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
