What’s the most popular event management tool for nonprofits?

Hey G2! I want to start a discussion with this community to identify the most popular event management tools for nonprofits. See my list below and let me know what’s worked for your organization.

I’m especially looking for platforms that support donor engagement, fundraising events, volunteer coordination, and budget-conscious planning for both virtual and in-person events.

Here are some of the most widely used platforms from G2’s Event Management Platforms category:

  • Eventbrite: One of the most recognizable platforms for ticketed events. Easy to use and often chosen by nonprofits for community events, fundraisers, and outreach.
  • Whova: Great for managing volunteer-heavy events or educational programs. Includes agenda planning, attendee networking, and sponsor promotion.
  • Cvent Event Marketing & Management: Robust platform used by larger nonprofits running conferences, galas, or multi-day summits. Offers deep analytics and integration with CRM tools.
  • Webex Events & Webinars: Ideal for nonprofits hosting virtual town halls, training sessions, or global awareness campaigns.
  • vFairs: Frequently used by nonprofits for virtual expos or job fairs. Offers accessible design and global reach for mission-driven events.

Which of these tools has helped your nonprofit plan and execute great events? Any tips for others working with small teams and limited budgets?

Eventbrite is also a popular option for nonprofits managing events, especially when it comes to ease of use and handling ticketing. Cvent Event Marketing & Management is another strong choice with more advanced features. Has anyone used either for fundraising or community events?
