What do you like best about Workfront?

Workfront is an all in one tool for project management. It has tools for project planning, document management, reporting, forecasting, resource planning, timesheet logging, and custom dashboards. You can create templates for projects, track work requests, approve documents, and communicate with the project team effortlessly. Unlike Microsoft Project, you can do everything in the one software and don't need to link and sync numerous other small bits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

Workfront is great for EITHER project management OR project finance tracking. When you try to make it do both, it really struggles. If you take steps to make the finances accurate, you mess up the project plan structure. If your focus is project planning, the finances need custom workarounds to work and it's frustrating. Also the gantt view is terrible, the tasks are scrunched up. The columns take too much space. And the timeline doe not always line up with the task. Also there is no way to setup to get notification when a project, task, or issue goes over budget and you have to actively be tracking the project to notice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Workfront solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's solving the problem of managing all company project details in one tool. The workers use it to get assigned work and log time. The sales team uses it to manage sales opportunities. The project management team uses it to track finances, resourcing and timeline. The business team uses it for strategic planning from finance and status reports and dashboards. What do you like best about Workfront?

I really like how Workfront helps keep everything in one place—tasks, timelines, updates, and documents. It’s especially helpful when multiple teams are involved, and I can easily see who’s working on what. The automated notifications and dashboards save time and keep everyone on track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

The interface isn’t the most intuitive at first. It took me a while to get comfortable with all the features, and sometimes it still feels like too many clicks to do simple things. Also, the mobile experience could be better—it’s a bit clunky when you're trying to check updates on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Workfront solving and how is that benefiting you?

Workfront helps solve the problem of scattered communication and unclear task ownership. Before, it was hard to track who was doing what or when things were due, especially across different teams. Now, everything is centralized—projects, timelines, files, and updates—so it’s much easier to stay aligned. It saves a lot of time in meetings and emails, and it’s helped improve accountability and on-time delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Workfront?

What I like best about Adobe Workfront is how it brings structure and transparency to even the most complex projects.

The ability to create custom workflows, assign tasks with clear deadlines and track progress in real time has significantly improved our team’s productivity. The integration with Adobe Creative Cloud and other enterprise tools makes it easy to keep all work centralized, which reduces duplication and miscommunication.

I especially appreciate the reporting and dashboard features. They allow me to quickly assess project health and share insights with leadership without having to chase down updates. The user interface is intuitive and once you get used to it, managing large-scale campaigns becomes much more efficient.

Overall, it’s a powerful tool that helps teams stay aligned, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work consistently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

While Adobe Workfront is a powerful tool, there are a few areas that could be improved.

The initial onboarding and learning curve can be a bit steep, especially for users who are new to project management software.

Some features, like setting up complex workflows or custom forms, can feel overwhelming without proper training.

Additionally, the interface, though robust, can occasionally feel cluttered, especially when managing a large number of tasks or projects.

I've also noticed that the system can lag slightly when dealing with very large datasets or extensive reports.

That said, once you get familiar with the platform, these challenges become manageable, and the overall benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Workfront solving and how is that benefiting you?

Adobe Workfront is solving several key problems for our team.

The biggest being lack of visibility, scattered communication and inefficient workflow management. Before Workfront, project updates were spread across emails, spreadsheets and chat threads, making it difficult to track progress or accountability. With Workfront, everything is centralized - from task assignments and timelines to document sharing and feedback loops.

It also solves the challenge of resource allocation by allowing us to clearly see who is overloaded and who has bandwidth, which has helped balance workloads more effectively.

Another major benefit is the ability to create standardized workflows and templates, which ensures consistency across projects and reduces time spent on manual setup.

Overall, Workfront has streamlined our processes, improved team alignment and helped us deliver work faster and with fewer errors. It saves us time, improves transparency, and empowers better decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Workfront comes with a learning curve, and that could be a bit challenging with respect. adoption amongst the team members. Moreover, it has got many options to customize the platform, experience, and approval systems, but those can be a bit difficult and time-consuming to implement. What I like best about Workfront is how it keeps everything organized in one place. It makes tracking projects and tasks way easier, and I always know what’s going on with my team. The customizable workflows help us stay on top of deadlines without all the back-and-forth emails. Overall, it just helps us get stuff done more smoothly and keeps everyone on the same page. What do you dislike about Workfront?

What I don’t like about Workfront is sometimes it feels a bit slow or clunky, especially when there are lots of tasks or updates happening at once. The interface can be a little overwhelming at first, and it takes time to get used to where everything is. Also, some features could be more intuitive — I’ve had to dig around to find certain tools or info. But once you get the hang of it, it works pretty well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Workfront?

What I like most about Workfront is how practical and complete it is for project management. Its structure makes it easy to organize tasks, assign responsibilities, and track progress, which improves teamwork and optimizes delivery times. Additionally, its real-time dashboards are a great advantage, providing clear visibility into project status and helping make informed decisions quickly. It’s a very useful tool for keeping everything under control without losing agility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

What I dislike about Workfront is that it’s not very intuitive and requires a lot of programming to customize. While it’s a powerful tool, setting up workflows and tailoring it to specific needs can be quite complex and time-consuming. This can make it less user-friendly for those without technical expertise, and at times, it can feel overwhelming to get everything set up properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Workfront?

With so many requests flying in—from executive updates to internal campaign launches—Workfront gives our team a centralized, transparent way to manage it all. I love being able to see everything in one place: project timelines, request details, task ownership, and status updates. It keeps our team aligned and helps prevent things from slipping through the cracks.

The custom request forms have been a game-changer. They ensure we get the info we need upfront, which saves time, reduces back-and-forth, and lets us focus on creating quality comms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

It takes some time to get comfortable navigating the interface and understanding how all the components (like dashboards, reports, and custom fields) fit together. However, resources are available that can help streamline the process of getting familiar with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Workfront solving and how is that benefiting you?

Workfront is solving one of our biggest challenges: managing a high volume of internal requests without losing visibility, accountability, or time.

Before Workfront, tracking project status, gathering approvals, and juggling competing deadlines often meant digging through emails or chasing updates in Slack. Now, everything is centralized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Workfront?

What I like most about Workfront is how it brings everything together in one place. Once you get the hang of it, it’s really helpful for keeping track of tasks, projects, deadlines, whatever you need. I especially appreciate the customizable dashboards and how easy it is to see what’s on your plate without needing to dig through a bunch of emails or spreadsheets. It keeps things organized and gives everyone visibility, which is super helpful for team collaboration. The notification system is also pretty solid because it makes sure I don’t miss anything important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

To be honest, the learning curve was kind of steep in the beginning. The interface isn't the most intuitive when you're just starting out, and there are a lot of features. These can feel overwhelming in the beginning. Some parts of it still feel clunky or overly complicated when they don’t need to be. And while support is responsive, sometimes it takes a few back-and-forth's to get a clear solution. Integration with other tools isn’t always seamless either. It works, but sometimes not without some technical hiccups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Workfront solving and how is that benefiting you?

Workfront helps cut through a lot of the chaos that comes with managing multiple projects and deadlines across different teams. Before using it, we relied on scattered tools, long email threads, and a lot of manual check-ins to stay updated. Now, everything is centralized including project timelines, task assignments, approvals, and communication. It’s made tracking progress way easier and has helped reduce miscommunication and missed deadlines. Having real-time updates and transparency across the team has been a big win. It's definitely helped us work more efficiently and focus more on the actual work instead of just managing the work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
