"Powerful, easy, dynamic and interactive experience for no-code development"
What do you like best about Vev?

I like the unique functionalities which are easy to implement in Vev in comparison with coding from scratch (mouse move parallax, scroll speed, horizontal scroll, scrollytelling, video scroll, isometric view - such powerful and enriching features making the websites more unique so they stand out), also the animation add-ons, intuitive interface and easy setting of breakpoints. Another thing is easy implementation of embed stuff - 3D for instance. Free standard hosting is also beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vev?

I would welcome some new features such as native contact form and what I would like as a designer is to add custom fonts without need to be on professional plan, since professional plan is for agencies and I am only a freelancer lets say. Also I would like the possibility to create templates and share them with other external people so they can duplicate the file or how shoud I call it and remix it later so there would be possibility to create custom libraries. "Disappointed by Vev's Customer Support"

Disappointed by Vev's Customer SupportDisappointed by Vev's Customer Support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vev?

I wanted to share my recent experience with Vev, a web design platform that I used last month. I'm really disappointed with their customer support and wanted to make sure others are aware of their refund policy.

Here's a brief rundown of what happened:

I initially used Vev's free account to design a webpage, intending to use their one-time purchase option to access the source code.

Unfortunately, their FTP publishing feature had a bug, which prevented me from getting the source code despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue with their customer support.

Out of necessity, I subscribed to their Professional service just to download the source code.

Sadly, I forgot to cancel the subscription and got charged for an additional month that I didn't intend to use.

I reached out to Vev's customer support for a refund, explaining my situation and the issues I faced with their service.

However, they denied my refund request, stating that they don't offer refunds for unused months.

I understand that companies have policies, but I feel this situation is unique due to the technical issues I encountered, which forced me into purchasing their subscription in the first place. It's disappointing to see a company that doesn't show flexibility and empathy towards its customers, especially when it comes to their own technical shortcomings. "Definitely worth some time."
What do you like best about Vev?

It's pretty intuitive. I like how simple it is to create something unique and modern. It's sleek and also relatively easy on the computer resources. I am a big fan on some of the cool nifty features like how easy it is to do framing, parallax effects, animations and more. It's is highly customisable which is great.

Also for free users, they only insert a little banner in the corner and you can use your own domain. Really nice for those looking to try it out and still get a proper use of it professionally.

I've used several editors before and couldn't get into Webflow, which arguably is more versatile and has much more support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vev?

It still lacks many features. Not only that, but having to realign, format etc, a website almost entirely when changing from desktop to mobile is tedious and time-consuming. Especially compared to other platforms.

There's also very little guidance. A lot you kinda bump into. Lack of analytics support as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A gamechanger in how we present content on our website"
What do you like best about Vev?

We love that we can create beautiful, interactive and engaging web pages and embed them directly on our website, freeing us up from our clunky CMS. While we have used other website builders in the past, the intuitive nature of Vev and the fact it provides an embed code to add to our own web pages put it above and beyond. The fact you can also choose to edit the design or the content only is super helpful, so once we lock the design down, we can change the content without worrying about breaking anything. What do you dislike about Vev?

There is a learning curve to overcome at the start - although they have a load of teaching materials online to help. Being based in New Zealand (although working for a UK company), I have also never had much luck using the chat facility for answers - there never seems to be anyone available to answer queries about the interface. "VEV makes it easy to hit the ground running!"
What do you like best about Vev?

VEV is easy to use! I like that I can copy and paste elements from page to page. The Add-ons that come with VEV make VEV grow into a robust web builder tool that helps you be creative with your web layouts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vev?

VEV is a browser-based tool (Chrome only) which has its limitations. I've had some mobilization issues in the past while working on tablet/mobile views. I'd love to VEV to be a desktop application one day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Eye opening"
What do you like best about Vev?

The barrier to entry for experimental web pages has never been easier. Coming from a multi-disciplinary designer, this gives my work a new form. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vev?

Their customer service is terrific, and they have helped me extensively through all my projects; sometimes, they can go missing due to time zone differences.

Another would be that some features don't work, due to a bug or other reasons, hindering my final design executions. Before proposing it to a client, I need to double-check that specific effects function as intended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for building websites but glitchy at times and takes a minute to break the learning curve"
What do you like best about Vev?

I like that I can quickly change and edit a webpage and duplicate modules and whole projects for a/b test purposes. The ability to plug in third-party analytics partners for deeper back and understanding of data makes my supervisors happy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vev?

The design tools can be demanding. The way that changes flow from site to tablet to mobile means that when I make small changes to the site experience, the mobile padding and placement can go askew. This can take a lot of extra work if you try to move backwards in your work flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"No limit to creativity"
What do you like best about Vev?

Vev is an impressive platform that has enabled our team to be as creative as they want, without necessarily needing to have the background that was once required to build such innovative sites. The customer support is impeccable, as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vev?

There are still some glitches in the sites that we create, particularly when trying to design for different screen sizes. For example, we find that some elements and text will shift slightly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic application for creating really polished microsite and landing pages"
What do you like best about Vev?

The page builder interface is fairly intuitive, and once you get the hang of it, you can very quickly get some feature-rich pages up and running. There is a good amount of control over each of the elements of the page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vev?

It should only be considered a front-end tool if you don't have the skills to delve into the developer interface. Some components don't entirely act as you might want; for example, I had some issues trying to trigger animations at the correct point as the user scrolls down the page. "A Focused Approach to Entering the Market Pays Huge Dividends for the Users of Vev"
What do you like best about Vev?

I was blown away by the 'Out of the Box' features (Elements) that ship with the Free version of Vev. I'll give one example in the 'Typewriter' Element, which I've used on other platforms and on a website I've built using HTML, CSS and JS. It's no easy task for users like myself who are unfamiliar with backend development. To be able to drag and drop the element onto a page, enter the text you want to use, and your done is a considerable time and resource saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vev?

Vev appears to be targeting a specific niche in the market, which means I would need to use another platform along side Vev depending on my project deliverables. IE: Delivering an online store. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
