What do you like best about Powertech Antivirus for IBM Systems?
Powertech Antivirus is an added on extra layer of protection on our network. We have this running native on the IBMi, and it gives us peace of mind, just knowing that our files are safe from threats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Don't really see any downsides. You can't just ignore the IFS file system. It can get viruses just as easily as any other PC based file system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We upload many documents/ files each day to the IFS, which Powertech Antivirus scans for virus infections. This is done seamlessly without user intervention.

What do you dislike about Powertech Antivirus for IBM Systems?
The only dislike we have found is when testing our DR plan every file is scanned during the restore, causing a long delay in restoration. Since we are confident in the source of each file at this point, we have figured out how to turn of scanning to a DR test restore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As it's hard to find solutions for the IBM i, we're happy to show auditors that we do indeed have AV on the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have seen performance take a hit on some of our IFS read/writes. We ended up excluding a couple of directories from the scan in order to avoid this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
