What do you like best about Oracle Solaris?

The scale-out feature helped us to solve our company's main problem. We received quick and tremendous support from the OEM. It was easy to make the initial setup and configuration compared to other UNIX flavors Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Solaris?

Taking too much time to boot up the Solaris Server. In some hardware, we faced package errors while Solaris installation. OEM needs to focus on this hardware compatibility issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Solaris?

Stability and ease of handling capabilities help us to run the databases smoothly. I never got any OS level performance issue so far. Other OS struggled in these situations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Solaris?

Migration to Solaris was difficult. I used to run another unix os. When I moved to Solaris migration was a big headache for us. Improvement requird in the virtualisation section Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Database hosting feature and the powerfull virtualisation are making this OS unique from other competitors. Handling also very easy. Reliable in critical situations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Solaris?

Faced some issues while integrating the windows Active directory service as well as the LDAP. I think OEM have to focus these directory integration. Switchover from other OS to Solaris was very difficult Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Solaris?

This is one of the simple and best application which is used in the software development to store the Dynamic Data which is used in the application. It Automatically caputes the updated Data based on the configuration and operation performed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
