What do you like best about Oracle Solaris?

What do you like best about Oracle Solaris?
This Operating system is providing multiple quality for security. A numerous tools that maintains the operating system's health and functionality. Its also has an amazing integration with other Oracle products Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Oracle Solaris?
GUI is not the best, it needs expertise to run and maintain this kind of software. But this is not a big deal. No free upgrade because of Enterprise editions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Solaris?
I love the huge performance & stability, and the scalability of Solaris, and its advanced features (e.g., DTrace, virtualization, ZFS, and others). Because it is a mature Unix, it could run a wide variety of major software, as well as open-source software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Solaris?
The malware protection security is provided right from the hypervisor to the applications hosted in the OS.
Easily integrated on cloud and management is easier.
You can also move some legacy applications running on very old version to the latest one. After moving it to the new versions, the upgrades to the packages are shown which can be updated manually and any changes easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Oracle Solaris?
The support when any third party integration comes in is could be well documented.
The documentation sometimes doesn't contain what you would be looking for.
The old solaris version is nowhere compared to the latest release.

What I like the best in oracle solaris operating is that it is user friendly, provides low cost in terms of applications development and maintenance and helps broad services in company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I most dislike in oracle solaris operating system is that you cannot update or upgrade for free because it is enterprise. You cannot also upgrade the security due to it is expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
