What do you like best about Oracle Solaris?
We have been using this OS for a while. We need to run an enterprise application with Oracle as the backend DB. Once we started using this OS the DB fetching performed very well. Solaris fetching the DB faster than the previous OS. So far, users have been satisfied with this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Oracle Solaris?
Apart from the Oracle packages, facing some issues with installing 3rd party applications. Integration with some packages is a big headache for the IT team. It is not recommended to run dynamic websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Solaris?
This database engine has established very strong and dependable for long-time period use. It can maintain as much as a massive variety of databases simultaneously. What do you like best about Oracle Solaris?
Zfs has made life easy for the Administrators. And after introduction of the the IPS Managing packages made much more effective then older system.i also like hard partitioning feture on the SPARC servers for licensing requirements to run the Databases on the Solaris. What do you dislike about Oracle Solaris?
It's little bit complex then other Unix based Operating systems like RHEL, Suse etc.. but what I dislike is why oracle stopped developing newer version of the Solaris. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Oracle Solaris is a Unix-based operating system. A person who has sound knowledge of Linx can easily handle this. Also, it is more secure as comparing other windows operating system. the upside of oracle Solaris is that , it dosen't crash, easy for patching and maintenance, the configuration files are not different its similar like other linux machines Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Solaris?
The performance i like the most in this Operating System is, And it comes with DB services. We can handle the services with the help of JAVA. And most importantly, it is a Unix-based OS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Oracle Solaris?
The OS is based on Unix, So management is difficult for windows users. And it is not easy using the platform. An expert from Linux is required for administration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
