What do you like best about Oracle Analytics Cloud?

My team is able to use it for basic data analytics, reporting and maintenance but it requires quite some technical hands to get some of the components working very well.

OBIC allows for huge loads of data storage where the tables can be customized to generate analytics and create additional tables out of the base data

What do you dislike about Oracle Analytics Cloud?

Switching views can be very slow at times. Its not that friendly for newbies and starters to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Using this tool for report development is highly dependent on having correct and good data quality.

OBICs is highly customizable and can be used by small to medium size companies for their data analytics , reporting and maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Analytics Cloud?

Easy transition, ability to pull any data point from EPBCS models, immediately updates with data entry in EPBCS, and easily updates with dimension changes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Analytics Cloud?

Often reach data retrieve maximums, would like to be able to pull back data in a pivot format, would like users to be able to add calcs on demand. HUGE: ability for users to see calc that created any particular data point. ALSO HUGE: very much dislike that we must schedule data transfer between cubes and to update dimensions. We were promised a product that would work seamlessly REAL TIME! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Oracle Analytics Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

So far we are not getting new solutions with OAC that we did not utilize with on prem in terms of GL data. However, the availability of plan details and dimensions as a pull-back is great for users and admins. It is also easier for admins to diagnose and correct issues within EPBCS models. BIG: I'm sure we have barely scratched the surface of OAC capabilities. We don't know what we don't know... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Analytics Cloud?

Not much. I can log in. The performance is okay as long as you have the expectation that you can't have real time data and you have to bring everything to the OAC database (essbase, etc) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Analytics Cloud?

Perfomormance. There is a bug for totals in reports. The OBIEE user interface is not great. Getting started takes for ever. Connecting to on prem databases in a hybrid envirnment is hard and it does not perform well. If a user logs in through a url that brings them to OBIEE, then logs out because of the odd bug that brings the reports down and then logs right back in they are are brough to DV and have to learn how to navigate.
