"Robust and Durable RDBMS"
What do you like best about MySQL?

Best and widely used Database in the world.

Great community support.

Also, Mysql has cutting-edge features.

Mysql version 8 also support storing JSON datatype

Indexing, Views, cursor, locking, function, and trigger are the most useful functionality.

In addition to the above, Mysql is open sourced so it is quite useful to university students to learn and practice RDBMS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

Mysql has a slow version release mechanism hence, a competitor like PostgreSQL and many others are getting the benefit. Mysql does not support materialized view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I am using MySQL for the last 11 years. From MySQL version 5 to the current version 8."
What do you like best about MySQL?

MySQL is best suitable for storing complex relational data features. Now, with the JSON support, it adds more power to the MySQL Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

Still, MySQL lags at text performance. We can't use MySQL for advanced search features. ES and Solr are better for those. Also, it's single point of failure if the Master goes down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Structured database managing tool"
What do you like best about MySQL?

Mysql is the best way to interact with the sql database. It offers the best available security towards sql database and maintenance. It takes care of large databases to be optimised and responsive to every action. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

Apart of a lot of features and data security enablers, it also raise some issues towards large data uploading and downloading at once. Also some backups interrupt while delivering data from it's database to the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MySQL is a very novice tool to do a lot of great stuff with data."
What do you like best about MySQL?

My favorite thing about MySQL in general is that it is very easy to code in. I have a lot of "new to coding" members on my team, and I find that using MySQL to code has helped them to pick up quickly. For example, the coding is very straight forward to English when using the expression "WHERE VARIABLE LIKE '%WORD%'". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

My biggest dislike about MySQL is when you run a line of code that fails, the error message is either vague, or way too long to explain what actually happened. I have coded in R, and it explicitly tells you what is wrong, where with MySQL, sometimes you have a weird error message that you have to google, but the error only showed up because you forgot a comma or something simple like that. "Database to be used widely"
What do you like best about MySQL?

Mysql has a lot of efficient and amazing features to be used starting from it's efficiency to hold large datasets in form of well managed tables rows and columns structure. It provides best data security at some loss of data at places where it kept a loop hole. It is therefore the best used databases in the every sector despite of handling some large databases at it's initial setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

Although Mysql is something that has efficiently build and has a lot of effective features to be used but aside of that it states some problems which includes data loss, insecurity at some places, data mismanagement when it gets larger. And with that it is not adorable to be used like this in any growing corporate industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great database, easy to use and scalable"
What do you like best about MySQL?

It is easy to configure and manage. It is a great solution for an enterprise level DB without the enterprise level costs. The interface is a bit lean, but still very manageable. I love the ease of setup and configuration and management via the included web interface or you can get custom tools to manage it. I like options! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

It doesn't have all of the features DBs like MSSQL or Oracle have that would make some admin easier, but it isn't really that much of an impediment. I think the web interface can be a little more robust and have more features for management. I guess you do get what you pay for. Overall it is a great product though.
