"MySQL leads in relational database domain"
What do you like best about MySQL?

It's free and open source database I guess which provide user based database creation with all the priviledges options.

In many middle scale companies this mysql database is used.

I used it for the purpose of database migration project where I understand that it is similar to postgres I mean it's internal architecture in regards to user management.

I guess we used 5.7 version of this db and it worked fine for us, performanceand community support is also good Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

Couldn't find anything to dislike this database Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Reliable Relational Database"
What do you like best about MySQL?

MySQL is a widely used and accepted standard for creating databases. It has the capability to support almost any application in any scale--the rate at which you can spin up an instance of MySQL is great for almost any project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

MySQL is very adaptable, but in some cases that is to its weakness as might not be the absolute best in certain cases. But I believe if you were in one of those edge cases you'd identify it and find a better solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good software"
What do you like best about MySQL?

I'm not super versed in databases, and MySQL is relatively easy to use. My team and I are able to pull reports and information without having to consult our tech department. It's really handy. Without it, we would have to contact our developers for every piece of info we need. In addition, our team is learning query language which builds our skills. We can also save the queries we use every month so we can easily pull the data for repetitive tasks. It's easy to download and get started-it takes just a few minutes. You can give even lower level employees copies of the queries they need to pull for their role so they don't have to consult the developers for every data piece they need. What do you dislike about MySQL?

I can't really think of any; it does the job. I'm sure if our tech team commented they could dig into the details about the behind the scenes usage, but for a front end user it's helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple Data Management for successful migrations. "
What do you like best about MySQL?

I like the ability to import and export multiple sets of data, to successfully migrate to other platforms. I enjoy that I have the ability to jump from multiple different tables and query data from different sets, by quickly switching between tabs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

I don't like that at time some schemas do not always upload properly when trying to import data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent tool for querying MySQL databases"
What do you like best about MySQL?

What I like best is how simple it is to query and provide readable and workable data for employees who do not work directly with the technology. Management is able to make the best business decisions once I as the developer extract the data for them using MySQL.The table set up as well as the data querying is easy to learn and work with. It also allows for connection to multiple databases so it's easy to jump back and forth from one to the other.

It's also great that when the program does occassionally crash, it automatically saves your work. Once the program reloads you can continue working just where you left off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

MySQL tends to crash at times. Often needs to be restarted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I wouldn’t choose any other above Mysql."
What do you like best about MySQL?

Mysql is easy to setup for end users and get started with. Its learning curve is quite fast because of the avalanche of resources available on the internet, for users to fall back on.

Very importantly, Mysql integrates with most server-side programming languages and development tools such as Eclipse and Visual Studio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

When it comes to large databases, Mysql is slow compared to alternatives such as Oracle dbms . Irrespective of this fact though, Mysql will always be my preferred DBMS for reasons I already stated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
