Software AG webMethods is not born in the cloud era. It did catching up in terms on iPaaS adoption. Monitoring, Testing framework, and various utility frameworks is not available out of the box in the earlier versions. For some they maybe steep learning curve for those new to webMethods. Due to geographic differences, Software AG may finding difficult in assigning same engineer who worked first on this issue. The Desginer offers many facilities for multilayer development, its lapse of learning and understanding is shorter compared to other 2 BPM tools that I have used previously. In just minutes you can create and deploy a BPMN in the IS without so many complications and the best of all is the broad and easy integration of services through adapters that adapt to almost any back-end. As for the utilitarian libraries, the software includes a very complete public library that facilitates and complements the developments, besides allowing the facility to develop and expose services in java to preference. In my experience I have worked in 2 different banking entities with this tool with successful results.
