What do you like best about IBM webMethods Integration?

Web Methods can be used to integrate a variety of systems in any IT landscape together. The bigger your business is and the more systems you'll have in your landscape, the more you'll need a tool like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM webMethods Integration?

WebMethods has been around for a long time and while there have been some improvements to the interface, it's starting to show signs of age compared to some of the newer integration tools in the marketplace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering IBM webMethods Integration:

Check out some of the other alternative solutions (i.e. TIBCO) just to make sure you're doing your due diligence when selecting the best tool for your business needs. WebMethods has been around for a long time though and will most likely fit the bill. Additionally, make sure you have an experienced admin on hand for the implementation. Trying to have in-house resources figure it out for the first time will prove to be disastrous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM webMethods Integration?

At my former company, we used this tool extensively for connecting ERP systems to our software tool. This is an absolutely fantastic tool for mapping data and connecting systems together. At the end of the day, it's a bit cheaper than competing solutions like CastIron, but I've not really found any disadvantages to this tool compared with others despite the cheaper licensing cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM webMethods Integration?

The interface can be slightly harder to use than one would like. Also, have had some problems on Mac with this tool. This was a bit of time ago, and it certainly was not a deal breaker at the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering IBM webMethods Integration:

This tool helps to solve a very very complex problem in enterprise software, so the solution itself is inherently difficult to get up to speed on. It has a bit of learning curve, and I would recommend the WebMethods training and certification programs if you would truly like to be skilled in using this product. What do you like best about IBM webMethods Integration?

Very powerful and extensible. Out-of-the-box connectors make integrating multiple business systems very easy. Platform is Java based, and allows you to write custom services in Java, which allow you to meet use cases that other "drag-n-drop" integration products can't meet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM webMethods Integration?

Interface is a bit archaic, and requires a fair about of training to learn to use properly, but once you learn a few tricks, you can build most of the common types of integrations you'll encounter. Additionally, the software can be finicky and unstable at times (as with most Java apps). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering IBM webMethods Integration:

I only have experience with the Software AG's Integration Server, but I would definitely recommend giving it a look. It lacks the sleek sexiness of newer, cloud-based integration tools, but it's what under the hood that counts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM webMethods Integration?

This tool is a very powerful integration tool for mapping two (or more) system.

Once you have an admin in place, changes to the integration data model can be done in house. Great for linking ERPs to front end tools Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM webMethods Integration?

Interface is a little old and clunky looking, however it is a middleware tool so it has to be robust Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering IBM webMethods Integration:

their are some free solutions on the market or open source if your requirements are simple Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
