"The Cadillac of CMMS"

What do you like best about IBM Maximo Application Suite?

I love the one stop shopping for PM, work orders and calibration that you get with Maximo. These guys wrote the book on calibrations and it shows. I have worked in several other electronic CMMS systems and none of them compare. The automation and scheduling take what typically is a very paper-heavy process to 100% digital. In our heavily regulated industry, it made retrieval of documentation for audits a breeze. Finally, compared to the many electronic systems that I have worked in throughout my career this system has the least number of issues with bugs I have ever seen. What do you dislike about IBM Maximo Application Suite?

There isn't a bad thing that I can say about this system. If I am forced to call out something, then I would say that the most prohibitive aspect would be cost. I have attempted to steer multiple employers towards this system and found the reason for most to go another direction being cost and/or integration capabilities. What problems is IBM Maximo Application Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Maximo we were able to transform a paper-based system to be 100% electronic. In an FDA regulated industry this is a huge win due to the record retention expectations. We integrate the management tool without any single issue, and the IoT lets us have a real-time meter reading from any current asset. It helps us to manage the asset inventory. We saved a lot of money in inspection and supervision at the work centers. IBM Maximo let us integrate it with Solex. It was easy to integrate automation scripts.
