There are a few things I don't like about IBM Maximo. The main one is the installation. It's not very straightforward and can be a huge waste of time, especially when I feel like I'm an expert on learning new systems - but no, apparently there are still challenges to face that hasn't become second nature to me yet. To make matters even worse, the project managers who aren't as tech-savvy as me get sidetracked since this process requires someone with expertise in order to set it all up initially. What do you like best about IBM Maximo Application Suite?

I have been an IBM Maximo user for over four years. At the time of this review, I am a senior analyst. I have been using it to manage our properties and equipment. My team is using it to keep track of our material inventory and to do work orders. We also use it to do predictive maintenance and to monitor our assets. My favorite thing about it is its speed and flexibility. I can quickly enter data and get a fast report. I can also export the data to Excel for deeper analysis. What do you dislike about IBM Maximo Application Suite?

Despite being a comprehensive asset management solution, Maximo lacks flexible case management tools, making it difficult to engage in change management. It also has a cumbersome change management procedure and an inconvenient user interface. The licensing scheme is also perplexing and difficult to grasp for new users. Maximo is a good solution for large organizations, in my opinion. It is scalable, and the more you can integrate with other systems and modules, the better and more efficient it becomes. It is a very versatile system. It has literally hundreds of out-of-the-box reports and dashboards that you can use and mix-and-match for your own needs. I like IBM Maximo because it was very easy to implement and to learn it is very understandable for easy and simple assey management and I liked its financial functions and its management tool is the best and I also liked the tracking of work like orders and management. Helps me a lot with our asset management, creating Job Plans, Preventive Maintenance, Track our Inventory and monitor our consumables, able to get the right data for Job completion, Create work permit, and service request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Assigning crew on the daily, weekly task. It takes too much time assigning them on the PM/Job Plans. May be there is a better way to simpify this, although its been a while I am not doing any task assignment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a good source of Data for task-related completion and cancellation. To determine the cause of the downtime whether it is a mechanical or manpower issue. For mechanical or equipment issue, this can be used as a justification to make procurement for an added asset and the same goes for manpower issues where you can also Justify this for manpower resources need.
