UI is complicated and not particularly intuitive.

In evaluate tests, it'd be nice to be able to send tests to internal devs to eval with others the difficulty of the tests.

For testing in C#, the compiler version is v4, which is approx 10ys old. New dev uses in v8 or 9, and soon 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Coderbyte for Employers?

A good-enough database of challenges at a price that is management for a small business. Many similar products cost more than $5000 a year and don't have a way to implement them without committing to pay. For a startup or small organization, this is really not worth the money. However, this product can be had for as little as $200 monthly for a limit-less account. For businesses with a lot of applicants, it is easy to pre-screen people based on their technical capabilities before wasting resources on interviewing for cultural fit, etc.

I recommend creating an assessment with both easy and harder challenges to better gauge the level of the person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Coderbyte for Employers?

Some of the challenge instructions are confusing and need to be refined. Also, it would be great if I could easily change the language of the challenges instructions.

I also don't like that there isn't (or doesn't appear to be) a way to order the challenges in each assessment. I have to manually instruct candidates to choose the easier challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We want to technically pre-assess candidates so that we have a better idea of what they are capable of before we have our busy lead developer do a technical interview.

What do you like best about Coderbyte for Employers?

I like that candidates can write codes and make Google searches without leaving the code editor. The support for web frameworks such and Angular and React is superb. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don't dislike anything but I would like that screening assessment can accommodate more than 300 candidates at once. The support for new-line when inviting multiple candidates (email addresses) will be good to have instead of just comma separated email addresses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not being able to add custom questions and answers instantly. Sometimes we don't need rigorous grading and output checking. Manual assessment is acceptable as well so it would be very useful being able to type a random question ad hoc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
