What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

Most people probably know Cloudflare as the best CDN (especially web developers and site owners). Cloudflare protects your site by hiding your servers real IP as it acts as a reverse proxy. It also has Firewall features and Page Rules for better security, and do not forget their DDOS protection.

It also speeds up your website, because it has multiple CDN servers around the globe, and I think they have the most compared to other CDN's. To further speed your site, they also offer various other features such as HTML, CSS and JS minification, Argo, and Railgun!

They also have Mirage and Polish for image optimization, which is the reason why they gave me access to our team's Cloudflare account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

Cloudflare is currently the best solution in the whole industry when it comes to managing your domain & various services associated with it. Cloudflare provides so many features out of the box for nearly no cost at all. Starting from DNS which not only simple to use but very fast when it comes to updates for your various records. Cloudflare provides a free SSL certificate for communication between your browsers & clients hence making a part of your connection secure again for free. There are so many other features that I can go all day like their workers to manipulate/perform operation on incoming request, cache handling, firewall, custom apps from its marketplace & lots of other features which is why cloudflare is currently the market leader. What do you dislike about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

The biggest drawback with cloudflare is that in its free tier you have no control over the actual caching of your content. We found it more than often that cloudflare don't cache our resources & even when it does it clear it very frequently (although I set the cache timing to be like many days). We had earlier moved most of our domains to Cloudflare basically because of great DNS response time but mostly used it for its Content Delivery Network. We used it for one of our test products at that time to cache the images on Cloudflare edge so the response time can decrease leading to good user conversion. What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?

Railgun - the hosting we have offers it for free ($200 discount for us). Railgun caches dynamic content and that is good for our dynamic site.

Page Rules - we can set cache time and also security for specific pages.

Speed Optimization - html, css and js optimization, Rocket Loader which asynchronously loads all js files.

CDN Global Servers - they have 200 plus servers around the globe, and free plans also have access to all.

What do you like best about Cloudflare Application Security and Performance?
