What do you like best about Azure DevOps Server?

Easy to allocate tasks and responsibilities, has share point integration. Works well with other Microsoft products;

Convenient as it can be used as software and even just in the browser. I can use it in different tasks: saving search queries, logging bugs, making tests, creating user stories, and build deployment;

Good Customer Support;

The app has a user-friendly interface and can be incorporated with Visual Studio; Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure DevOps Server?

The UI is a bit tricky especially after the update but overall it is a really functional application;

Lacks intuitive placement of tools for a version control application. But it is a great alternative for what we do as it gets the job done;

Upgrade paths could be handled better. Very difficult to upgrade with customization in place;

Recommendations to others considering Azure DevOps Server:

I would recommend this solution to others. It's definitely a good product. If you are looking to set up custom privileges then it's a good option for you. It has several features. If you want to secure your code, TFS is a good choice, as it can do it easily. I would rate TFS a five out of ten. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure DevOps Server solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use the app to build deployment and maintaining our user story for our applications. It gets the job done for testing and logging bugs, so all in all great for tracking developer tasks and improving our projects. TFS is all in one solution for different tasks like

1. Automating build deployment

2. Creating User stories

3. Creating Dev Tasks

4. Creating Test Cases

5. Logging Bugs

6. Save Search Queries.

Nothing specific that i Disliked but there updated interface is little hard to use from UI Prospective. New UI makes search functionality a bit difficult to use but overall a good one to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

TFS is easy to use and one stop solution for managing sprint, Dev and QA Related activities. Support is also good in case of any issues. Trial version is also available for evaluation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure DevOps Server solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are looking to use a solution for automatic build deployment and maintaining user story, test cases and bugs at one single place thus TFS is a solution.

We can easily link User stories to the test cases and log a bug against that test cases also. Thus help us to track the story, Dev tasks are also clearly visible against a particular user story which in turn help us to manage and track dev tasks also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure DevOps Server?

Most efficient version control tool for check in and check out code.The comparison option is a very good thing for developers to compare the new and old version before checkin or checkout. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure DevOps Server?

In some TFS exe the compare option doesn't work. The only option to enable this is use to download a third party compare tool online

I personally experienced this and it made me uncomfortable. All version controls should have comparison option otherwise it will be very difficult for developers to work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure DevOps Server?

Just few simple steps and you are done with creating the Site collections and assigning the users their roles and responsibilities. The best part one can check is the share point integration with Team foundation server and SQL Server. A Microsoft user can handle it very easily. If you are Microsoft user you are easy with the slowness of Microsoft product and you can handle this product easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure DevOps Server?

The logs part as my Information Audit person requires logs and the logs part are very difficult to handle and all the time i have to go to google and first search it how to extract logs out of Team foundation server and had to do a lot of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
