"Most reliable managed service by AWS for RDS"
What do you like best about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

The managed service provided by AWS with the utmost configurable options and security on point. Supports a large variety of Databases. One stop solution, no manual intervention to manage your DB instances, no worries related to scalability and backups. Implementation is pretty straight forward. My current organization uses RDS for almost all the projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

Nothing as such which I can think of as AWS keeps on improving the service provided by addeing new features with time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Second to none"

What do you like best about Amazon Aurora?

What I like best about Amazon Aurora is its performance and reliability. It’s impressive how it combines the speed and availability of high-end commercial databases with the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of an open-source database. Plus, the fact that it's fully managed means I can focus more on developing my application rather than worrying about database maintenance. The seamless scalability is a huge bonus, especially when handling varying workloads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Aurora?

One thing I find challenging about Amazon Aurora is its cost at scale. While it offers excellent performance, the costs can add up quickly for large databases or when using additional features like multi-AZ deployments and read replicas. Additionally, while Aurora is compatible with MySQL and PostgreSQL, there are still some proprietary extensions and features that aren't fully supported, which can limit certain use cases or require additional workarounds Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Amazon Aurora?

I would say the scalability is what I like best about Amazon Aurora. Not having to worry about whether we can scale is a huge benefit. When we need support as well AWS is always quick to respond. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Aurora?

The learning curve was quite large at first but I overcame it eventually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, reliable and efficient database clusters"
What do you like best about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

That everything is easy to configure, since you just set the specs that you need (engine, capacity, etc) and everything else is setted up automatically.

Another thing is that RDS is really secure, and have a panel of recommendations in case there's something wrong in your cluster Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

Sometimes is hard to deal with the fact that you have this abstraction from the db configuration, for instance, since when you set up a RDS cluster everything is configured in the backstage regarding the db engine, you can't have access to the super user, which you may be used to have access to. "The Bright and Dim Sides of Amazon Aurora"
Product Reviewed: Amazon Aurora
What do you like best about Amazon Aurora?

The impressive performance and scalability of this database as a fully managed RDS cannot be overlooked, considering how easy the UI is. It helps avoid unpredictable loads as it offers auto-scaling features for compute and storage resources. In addition, it works well with other AWS services, which makes it very convenient to use for companies that already use the AWS infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Aurora?

The pricing model can get complicated and might also be costly for small workloads or Organizations that are beginning their operations/activities. It may seem a little intimidating to the teams who are moving from such basic database solutions, as it will require some getting used to before they can optimize the costs and performance. What do you like best about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

The most helpful feature about RDS that i just found out is it's Blue Green Deployment. "Amazon Aurora Database"
Product Reviewed: Amazon Aurora
What do you like best about Amazon Aurora?

It is an offering by AWS and it supports both mysql and postgresql. We can have upto 15 replicas (reader instances). It's high availability and ease of scaling is one of the good features. We can bring up an amazon aurora instance in no time. Give extra features such as IAM DB authentication for password protection. Integrate natively with aws services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Aurora?

The pricing is a little high. A small size company cannot afford it specially where data increases exponentially and it needs a bigger size instance like r3.*xlarge for the computation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

The cost can quickly add up, especially for larger instances and high operations. And the initial setup and configuration can be somewhat complex for those using first time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Review of Database"
What do you like best about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

Based on my experience, I really like the read and write features, and they significantly enhance the efficiency of the database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

They provided two editors, which is unnecessary. If they offered one efficient editor instead, it would be better. We know how to use it easily; however, in some cases, everyone is using version 1, while in others, they're using version 2, which is not ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
