What do you like best about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

The managed service with full care from AWS side, what you have to just use the service, rest of the managment is from AWS side. The implementation is very easy. What do you dislike about Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)?

What I have come as a dislike part of AWS RDS from client side is that they are complaining against the cost. Next thing is the time when the service is getting on update and you cannot modify. What do you like best about Amazon Aurora?

What I like the most about Amazon Aurora is how seamlessly it scales with my application. The performance is great, and it automatically handles storage expansion, which takes a lot of stress off my plate. It's super easy to manage, and I love how it integrates with other AWS services. What do you dislike about Amazon Aurora?

Aurora clusters is the most powerfull feature, Restore to point in time, everything is managed, global clusters feature.

it is easy to create a databse for system.

Upgrading from aurora2 to aurora3 was very bad, minor version upgrade in aurora3 causes downtime and restarting loop, aurora3 has many bugs, but in general still good service

it is not easy to directly major version upgrade with no downtime

It is easy to use, you don't need to manage and mantain the resource you only need to focus on update the version, and it is faster to provisioning and easy to integrate, also you have different type of SQL services, like mysql, posgresql, oracle and SQL Server, and the Aurora that is has a good performence. Being Data engineer I use amazon aurora as my first choice compared to mysql , as it gives me 5 times high throughput than basic mysql available and as well autoscaling feature is available for storage and monitoring for failover is great , basically for faster performance it is best choice Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The usage-based model which is based on the instance, types, storage, and I/O operation is often tough to estimate. Further, the level of dependence on AWS services may pose some disadvantages to the organizations aiming at being flexible the future and using or hopping from one cloud provider to another.
