“Streamlined Reporting with Strong Collaboration Features”
What do you like best about Workiva?

The ability to link data across documents has been a standout feature — it ensures consistency and reduces the risk of errors when changes occur. I also found the collaboration features extremely useful, especially when working across departments or with external auditors. Everyone can work from the same version in real time, which has helped eliminate confusion and version control issues.

While there was a learning curve at first, once I got familiar with the platform, the workflow became much more streamlined. The audit trail and history tracking features also give a strong layer of transparency and control, which is critical in financial reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workiva?

In my experience, Workiva has been a highly effective tool for managing complex financial reporting. It improved accuracy and efficiency, especially with its ability to link data across documents and support real-time collaboration. These features helped reduce errors and made cross-team work much smoother.

One drawback, however, is the initial learning curve — it takes time to become fully comfortable with the platform’s interface and functionality. But once past that, it becomes a powerful and reliable tool for reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Workiva solving and how is that benefiting you?

Workiva solves several key problems in financial reporting:

Manual errors and version control issues: By allowing linked data across reports and real-time collaboration, Workiva reduces the risk of inconsistencies and mistakes that come from working in disconnected spreadsheets or documents.

Lack of transparency and audit trail: Workiva provides a clear audit trail of changes, which enhances accountability and makes reviews and audits much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Vena?

Vena does a great job at organizing your data into a simple database format. Your data can be complex, but with Vena, it's easy to draw it down and organize it into ways that make sense. FP&A is now easier and our processes sped up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Vena?

The learning curve and more advanced building processes can be tough to wrap your head around at first. Setting up your own template and making mistakes will help you learn sooner as you work with your Implementation manager and the customer support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Great software for adding value for your clients, albeit a bit costly.”
What do you like best about LiveFlow?

LiveFlow works great, it integrates QBO with either Google Sheets or Excel, which is helpful as you may have clients using either software so you are not limited in how you can serve them. The dashboards are also a great feature, however I wish it wasn't an upcharge to use them. It's great to be able to provide your clients a link to a clean dashboard that they can reference whenever they want and it will be updated as long as the QBO file is updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LiveFlow?

The biggest downside to LiveFlow is the price. It's not the cheapest option out there, and while I feel the software is worth it if you are charging appropriate fees to your clients for your services, what I don't like is how there are added fees for new features. Want to be able to use dashboard feature? You get one free then have to pay. Want to be able to do consolidates? Thats extra. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is LiveFlow solving and how is that benefiting you?

LiveFlow allows me to be able to pull data out of QuickBooks Online and turn it into a useable dashboard or spreadsheet that is easy for the client's the read. It can update automatically in the background, so if you provide your clients access to the dashboard/sheet, they can have real-time data at their fingertips provided the QBO file is updated. What do you like best about Scrut Automation?

Scrut Automation's strong help for compliance preparation is what I appreciate most about it. It makes it simple to evaluate and keep an eye on our network and security posture by providing structured policy templates and automated tools. This has greatly improved our efficiency and confidence in meeting regulatory standards. They have also provided exceptional customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scrut Automation?

Thus far, we have not experienced any significant problems using Scrut Automation. Our expectations about compliance support have been met by the platform, which has offered a seamless and effective experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scrut Automation solving and how is that benefiting you?

Scrut Automation is helping to streamline our compliance journey with frameworks like GDPR and ISO. It provides a single platform for managing all facets of compliance, such as policies, evidence collection, cloud security assessments, and team-wide policy distribution. “Fantastic planning tool with great ease of use.”
What do you like best about Drivetrain?

My overall experience with Drivetrain has been great. The tool is extremely easy to use and very intuitive. Producing new reports is seamless and user friendly. The implementation took ~ 3 months and was quite smooth. The DT implementation team made sure that the platform was up and running in time for our planning cycle. Additionally, Rohit who lead the implementation, has been incredibly responsive, collaborative, and made sure that the tool met our needs. We're now using Drivetrain daily and look forward further driving adoption of the tool across our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Drivetrain?

“Delivering business value through an intuitive interface”
What do you like best about Apliqo?

Apliqo is built from its foundations with the end user experience in mind. It offers an intuitive interface, place on top of any type of business problem for planning and reporting.

It can integrate Excel input in the same front end, so end users can decide if they want to prepare data outside of the web-front end and load their results, or work directly in the tool. This combination allows users the freedom they need and desire to work in a way that suits them best.

The ideas behind the applications are always aimed towards ease of maintenance, a uniform look and feel and a do-it-yourself approach where IT involvement is limited to a minimum and business users can be autonoumous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apliqo?

It is a not a drag-and-drop tool for do it yourself dashboarding. But it is also not intended to be this. The target of Apliqo is rolling out applications to a group of end users that can get going without the need for extensive trainings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apliqo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We mainly use Apliqo (both UX and FPM) for internal reporting. We use it for our day-to-day timesheets, our (financial) month end close, dashboarding and reporting.

The operational model is tracking our projects on a day-to-day basis, provinding an overview of budgets-to-date, time spent (hours/days), expenses tracking. Our users are entering information on a daily basis.

For the financial closing we are currently utilising the P&L/Balance sheet reporting layer across our region, based on input from various countries, coming from different data sources (accounting systems).

Everything gets harmonized through a common mapping to a uniform group layer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Anaplan is a cloud-based application that can connect multiple cells and workspaces across different business use-cases and give a concise view of the KPIs.

Real-time security is enabled with instant changing of roles, and access is possible in Anaplan. Excel cannot restrict individual cell access. Anaplan has the flexibility to plan across many dimensions, which excel does not have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Anaplan?

The PowerPoint add-in feature is a little obsolete and unnecessary with the launch of the new UX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Anaplan solving and how is that benefiting you?

Anaplan helps with different types of planning. I have been involved in Financial Planning and Analysis for four years now. I am assisting clients in moving from Excel sheets to Anaplan planning UX. Anaplan can have scheduled data integrations from external data sources such as Informatica Cloud, SnapLogic, Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, Docusign, Workiva, and Tableau. It has dynamic time scale implementation.

Master Data structure – works on having one data hub with a single source of truth, build once and push multiple times approach.Pushing hierarchical changes across multiple worksheets is tough and error-prone

“Strong planning and real-time reporting tool”
What do you like best about Mosaic Tech?

Real=time updates make dashboarding and reporting quite simple. Once the reports are set up, it's pretty easy to adjust time periods to create new versions.

The modeling and forecasting is similarly pretty straightforward, and robust enough for most use cases. For example, it's pretty simple to work from an existing expense line item and forecast it forward using any number of formulaic approaches (flat, grow by x%, grow based on some other metric like headcount, etc.). It does have a lot of capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mosaic Tech?

There is definitely a learning curve with regards to creating formulas and linking the elements of a financial model. The syntax of the formulas is different from Excel/GSheet, but the support site has lots of examples so one can get pretty far on their own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Mosaic Tech solving and how is that benefiting you?

Creating new forecasting scenarios (and having those scenarios be populated with actuals over time) is now much easier than combining those in Excel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Great Partner for Streamlining SOC2 and HIPAA Compliance”
What do you like best about Sprinto?

Sprinto helped us navigate SOC2 and HIPAA certification without needing to bring on a fractional CISO. Their platform is well-organized, and their team guided us through every step of the process, from initial setup to final audit prep. What stood out was how hands-on and responsive they were. Whenever we hit a blocker, they helped resolve it quickly. The whole experience felt efficient and focused, and we were able to stay lean and move fast without cutting corners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sprinto?

The platform can feel a bit rigid at times, some workflows are optimized for common SaaS setups. Customizing controls or evidence paths required a bit more back-and-forth than we’d like. That said, their team was always willing to step in and help when the automation didn’t fit our setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sprinto solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sprinto eliminates the overhead of managing compliance manually. We didn’t need to hire a fractional CISO or dedicate internal resources full-time to SOC2 and HIPAA. The platform tracks controls, evidence, and audit readiness in one place, which reduced context switching and helped us stay organized. It also gave us confidence that nothing would fall through the cracks, especially important when you’re moving fast and building a company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“More than FP&A: Abacum is our Business Planning Engine”
What do you like best about Abacum?

Abacum has fundamentally transformed our finance function. Its seamless integrations across our tech stack make it our definitive source of truth for financial planning and analysis. The platform empowers us to run deep scenario planning, board-ready management reporting, real-time variance analyses, and in-depth business reviews — all with a lean team. The flexibility and sophistication of the data model allow us to understand our business drivers at a granular level and plan proactivel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Abacum?

There’s a slight learning curve due to how powerful and flexible the platform is, especially when building complex models. That said, their support and onboarding teams are highly responsive and helpful in accelerating ramp-up time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Abacum solving and how is that benefiting you?

Abacum has solved our biggest FP&A challenges - from disconnected data and manual processes to limited visibility and inefficient planning cycles. Before Abacum, building forecasts, preparing board materials, or running budget vs. actuals required hours of spreadsheet work and data stitching across systems. Now, all of that is automated, accurate, and available in real-time.

The platform integrates with all our core systems, centralizing our financial data and enabling consistent, granular reporting across the business. This has dramatically increased our team’s efficiency — we’ve been able to keep our finance function lean without compromising on depth or rigor. Abacum gives us the ability to run high-frequency, high-impact planning cycles and to hold the business accountable with precision. The result is faster decision-making, better alignment, and a more agile organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM Planning Analytics?

I like the flexibility that the tool offers to build custom models, tailored to the specific needs of the business. The integration with Excel via PAfE greatly facilitates data analysis and contributes to the autonomy of the controlling team in their daily activities. The performance for real-time calculations and simulations is also a strong point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Planning Analytics?

Memory management and server resource consumption can be a challenge, especially in environments with large volumes of data. Additionally, the startup process of the SDATA service is not very transparent — the logs do not clearly indicate when there is reprocessing of feeders or how long the service will take to be fully available again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Planning Analytics solving and how is that benefiting you?

IBM Planning Analytics addresses the challenge of consolidating data from multiple areas into a single, integrated environment, allowing for fast, secure, and standardized analyses. This significantly reduces the time spent on manual spreadsheets and increases the reliability of the information used in performance management. “Great tool for budgeting and reporting!”
What do you like best about Planful?

At a produce company, what we like best about Planful is how seamlessly it supports multi-level sales management. The platform makes it incredibly easy to drill into individual accounts and explore detailed financial data—without having to export anything to Excel. We especially appreciate the ability to expand all rows and columns directly within the platform, which allows our team to analyze performance by product line, region, or customer segment with just a few clicks. It’s efficient, intuitive, and has significantly improved the way we manage and review sales data across the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Planful?

What do you dislike about Planful?

Currently, Planful is not connected to our ERP system, which means we still need to manually upload a significant amount of data. This adds extra steps to our workflow and limits the potential for real-time updates. We’re hopeful that moving forward, we can establish a direct integration with our ERP system to streamline the process and fully leverage Planful’s automation capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Planful solving and how is that benefiting you?

Planful has significantly improved both our annual budgeting process and our monthly reporting cycle. Previously, we relied heavily on Excel, manually consolidating multiple tabs from various departments—a process that was time-consuming and prone to errors. With Planful, everything is centralized and streamlined.

One of the biggest benefits is the ability to easily pull prior year (PY) actuals and forecasts directly within the platform. Since our actuals are already integrated into the reporting side, we no longer have to dig through spreadsheets or worry about version control. This makes variance analysis, trend tracking, and forecasting much more efficient and accurate. Overall, Planful has helped us move toward a more collaborative, reliable, and time-saving planning process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Essential ERM Review”
What do you like best about Essential ERM?

We have been using the Essential ERM program for about a year now, and I can confidently say it’s a really good tool for risk management. The user-friendly interface makes it easy for both beginners and seasoned professionals to navigate, while the wide range of functionalities makes it a powerful asset in managing risks.

One of the standout features is its ability to create strong connections between various risk-related objects such as risks, causes, consequences, mitigation strategies, actions, key risk indicators (KRIs), subrisks, and more. This interconnected approach provides a comprehensive view of risk management, which is essential for ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

The implementation process was very quick and easy, almost like setting up a subscription. It required minimal effort to get started, which allowed us to begin using the system right away.

I also want to highlight the outstanding support team behind Essential ERM. They respond quickly, offer effective solutions, and provide useful advice. Their proactive and efficient problem-solving has made our experience even more seamless.

Overall, Essential ERM is an indispensable tool that combines wide functionality, ease of use, and excellent customer support. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their risk management processes! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential ERM?

One area where Essential ERM could improve is in the availability of dashboards for action plans. While the system does allow for monitoring of action plans, there currently isn’t a dedicated dashboard specifically for this purpose. Having a separate, easily accessible dashboard focused solely on tracking and visualizing the progress of action plans would enhance the user experience and make it easier to stay on top of mitigation efforts. What problems is Essential ERM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Essential ERM is helping us solve following challenges. First and foremost, we wanted to systemize and optimize our risk management process, and this tool has made that possible by providing a structured approach and clear visibility over all risks and related actions.

Additionally, Essential ERM is helping to increasing our organization’s risk management culture and overall involvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Streamlining Risk and Compliance with a Clear Framework”
What do you like best about Hyperproof?

What I like best about Hyperproof is how seamlessly it connects controls across multiple frameworks like ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and SOC 2 with our Risk Register and third-party supplier assessments. This integrated view gives us a much clearer understanding of our overall compliance posture and helps us manage our security & privacy programs more efficiently. What I also appreciate is how the platform enables us to decentralize ownership of controls—handing responsibility back to individual functions instead of everything sitting with the InfoSec or Data Privacy teams. This promotes better accountability and cross-functional engagement in our compliance efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hyperproof?

While Hyperproof offers strong functionality, the user experience can sometimes feel a bit unintuitive, especially for first-time or non-technical users. Some features like Hypersyncs require a bit of trial and error to understand fully, and clearer in-app guidance or tooltips would be helpful. That said, the support team is very responsive and open to feedback, which is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hyperproof solving and how is that benefiting you?

Hyperproof is helping us move away from siloed, manual tracking of compliance activities across spreadsheets, documents, and shared drives. It brings everything into one centralized platform—controls, risks, audits, and third-party assessments—which significantly improves visibility and coordination. It’s also helping us align with multiple frameworks (like ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC 2) without duplicating effort, thanks to control mapping. One of the biggest benefits has been the ability to assign and track ownership across teams, which supports a more decentralized approach to our overall security program.
