“A user friendly requirement tool with high potential”
What do you like best about Polarion?

I think that polarion is very user friendly compared to other tools. The documentation gives a chance to learn the specifics when doing the configuration, the scripting of widgets is very nice. Overall I really like Polarion and working with it!

The support works nice, nothing to complain about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polarion?

I think Polarion lacks a little in the exporting area. Specifically to be able to export the information that I want in a specific format. The great thing about the previous requirement tool we used was that we could export the information we had in any table format we wanted to excel.

It is sort of possible to do it in Polarion, create an export template for work items and using that. The issue is that it doesn't export the information I want when it has linked work items. I would really want to be able to export a work item with the corresponding linked work items, AND certain fields of those linked work items. Not just a table column with the linked work items.

Another thing in the same area is the filtering in the tracker view. The lucene filtering works but when I want to look at specific linked work items it sort of fails, I can us SQL queries but that is a bit much work since Polarion has like 1000 tables in the database. For example, I want to show all the test work items with a specific field that is linked to a parent work item: "id:TT-47 AND linkedWorkItem.role:verifiedBy AND linkedWorkItem.field.integrityLevel:asilD". Like that.

There is also a thing when wanting to move a work item. When in the tracker view moving an item into a document is trivial. But when I am working in a liveDoc i can't move an item, I have to open the item and then use the move function. I would like the function to be available when I work inside the document.

I also think the function to move a liveReport doesn't exist, it is only possible to move a liveDoc. At least i haven't found a way to move a liveReport yet.

Another feature that would be really nice to have is the ability to create Versions of an work item. Not just using the revision number, but actual versioning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Polarion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Polarion solves the issue we have with tracking and traceability of requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Spiral Review”
What do you like best about SpiraPlan?

It is very easy to use and very understandable due to the simple and clean UI, as its procing is the best point because it is paying by active use rather than that of the registerss users. And easy for setting up the project templates users etc, and the tools are easily adaptable as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpiraPlan?

When logging in for the first time it take a bit longer to open compared to other time logins, and also if we open several cases at once it starts to lag and gets slow by the time. If there was a app to do offline work that would have been great too for doing simple tasks like to add comments or create tasks or even creat requirements etc, that that would be great too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SpiraPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?

Its been great for the small teams and single users as the workflow enables us to start small without implementingd a full methodology. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Excellent product”
What do you like best about Qt?

Qt is an exceptional framework that offers developers a lot out of the box. One of the best aspects of Qt is its versatility and cross-platform capabilities. The most helpful feature of Qt is its extensive collection of ready-to-use widgets and tools, which significantly accelerates the development process. The framework comes with QML which speeds up GUI development significantly. The framework also provides a rich set of functionalities, including GUI, networking, database integration, and multimedia support, which simplifies the implementation of complex applications. Overall, the upsides of using Qt include its excellent documentation, a supportive community, and a vast ecosystem of third-party libraries and plugins, making it a reliable choice for building high-quality applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Qt?

Qt's licensing model is a bit restrictive. While it offers a commercial license for proprietary applications, the open-source version (LGPL) requires dynamic linking, which may impose limitations on certain types of projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Excellent and comprehensive tool”
What do you like best about Perforce ALM?

Covers multiple aspects of the development process, including requirements management, test case management, issue tracking, and source code management.

Integrates well with other tools like Jira, Jenkins, and Git, creating a more seamless workflow.Highly customizable workflows that can be tailored to the specific needs of different teams or projects.

You can create custom fields, forms, and rules to match your team's processes.Includes audit trails and detailed records for compliance, making it easier to manage projects that must meet regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA).Helix ALM includes strong test management features, helping teams to organize and track their test cases, test runs, and results.

Automated defect detection links failed tests directly to the issue-tracking system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Perforce ALM?

Helix ALM is a premium tool, and licensing costs can add up, especially for larger teams.

It may not be the best option for companies looking for budget-friendly solutions. While the tool is highly customizable, setting it up for a specific workflow can take considerable time and effort, which may be challenging for teams with limited technical resources.Although it integrates well with other tools, Helix ALM doesn't natively offer the same level of real-time collaboration features (e.g., chat or collaboration spaces) that some other project management tools do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Perforce ALM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Provides excellent traceability throughout the entire development lifecycle. You can trace from requirements to test cases, test results, and issues, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

“Robust ALM Tool for Enterprises, but Needs UX Modernization”
What do you like best about IBM Engineering Workflow Management?

BM Engineering Workflow Management (formerly RTC) offers powerful end-to-end lifecycle management. It shines in large-scale, regulated environments where traceability, process enforcement, and integration with systems like DOORS and Rhapsody are crucial. The process templates and role-based access controls are highly customizable, and the Jazz platform enables strong collaboration between devs, testers, and analysts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Engineering Workflow Management?

The UI feels outdated compared to modern Agile tools like Jira. Performance can lag when handling large repositories, especially on web clients. Setup and onboarding require expertise, and there's a steep learning curve for teams not familiar with Jazz architecture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is IBM Engineering Workflow Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're using EWM to manage development across multiple teams in a highly regulated industry. It helps ensure compliance through enforced workflows, audit trails, and tight integration with requirements and test management tools. This has significantly improved traceability and reduced audit risk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Tuleap offers effective back-end event management features for our customer's production environment”
What do you like best about Tuleap?

We find convenience while using Tuleap widgets to overview insights on our Dashboard. Function overriding for our JS & CSS files is less complicated and we can facilitate seamless user interaction in its platform. We opt for Tuleap plugins to provision our Agile Dashboard and Git to capture our events and be aware of any changes made in our codes. Both controller & its plugin info is encapsulated as soon as we enable our custom plugin which is convenient for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tuleap?

We would like to have an auto-refresh feature to reflect recent modifications made in our plugin definitions. As of now, we have to manually refresh the cache to view the changes. Also, we need to ensure that the parameters used in our code must be unique across all events so that there aren't any misconfigurations. It would be great to have an enhancement to simplify this tedious task of maintaining our code structure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tuleap solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are getting familiar with the Tuleap Framework for our event management activities as we started using it recently. It helps organize our regular events which take place through hooks & system events. Unlike other Frameworks, it doesn't impose restrictions on the Event class so we can define constructors, getters, setters and private members as per our requirements. It also gives recommendations for naming our hooks based on the selection of plugins and code execution patterns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
