Data Center Management Software

Typically, Data Center Management is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Data Center Management Software.

Data center management is more a practice than a type of software, though multiple software types will assist users in managing data and data centers. Database management tools will provide the tools necessary to create and operate databases. Data warehouse software serves as storage for all a company's data relating to anything from application code and intellectual property to identify data and finance figures. These come in a variety of forms including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and other non-relational databases. Enterprise IT management suites will provide large scale and scope for data management. In addition to managing databases, they offer tools for patch and software updates, security settings, and disaster recovery, in addition to system setup and configuration. Data quality software will help users manage and analyze data to ensure accuracy, usability, and overall quality.

“Great partner since 2016”
What do you like best about NinjaOne?

We've been with Ninja since 2016 and they've been an excellent partner. They are responsive to both billing and service requests and have continually made the RMM tools better and better. They've been a cornerstone part of our MSP business and we very much appreciate the partnership. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NinjaOne?

Reporting could be stronger, especially end-user-facing reports that convey the value of what we are providing to our customers. Occasionally we get some hit or miss with the patch management but I'd say it's 95% effective in getting patching done correctly. I'd like to see a little more partnership on the marketing side (i.e. MDF funds, or marketing consultation help to grow both our businesses). Overall, though, our experience has been great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NinjaOne solving and how is that benefiting you?

GIves us a tool to manage our customers endpoints and provide patch management, remote monitoring and remote support at a reasonable price. We also utilize their NinjaBackups services and the Teamviewer, Splashtop and Webroot integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our Team loves the out of the box monitors in Monte Carlo, they make time to value much shorter and allow the product to start adding value quickly while you work with the Monte Carlo team on more targeted monitoring capabilities. Really can't stress enough how responsive and helpful the support team is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monte Carlo?

We do see some issues with our monitors in Monte Carlo from time to time where we are using them in non-standard use cases, generally these show up as data not matching our expectations within the monitoring results but every time this has come up so far we have been able to get to the bottom of it with help from the support team. “Powerful endpoint management solution.”
What do you like best about Atera?

Atera is a powerful remote management platform that we've integrated into our IT operations for managing endpoint devices like computers, servers, and mobile phones. It offers full control over both the devices and applications we manage, which is vital for our IT team. The admin dashboard is simple to customize with a drag-and-drop interface, making it easy for me, as a data analytics manager, to set up the tools I need to monitor in one place. The left-side navigation simplifies our workflow by giving quick access to key features like remote access, asset management, and alerts. Atera's training video guides and tutorials help our teams implement best practices for device and software management and fix misconfiguration if any. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Atera?

One area that could be enhanced is the reports section because I see more potential for Atera to use AI to automatically analyze and generate deeper insights, like identifying usage patterns or predicting potential device failures, making our reporting even more proactive for troubleshooting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Atera solving and how is that benefiting you?

Atera plays a key role in solving critical IT issues quickly across our team. For example, as a data analytics manager, I’m responsible for overseeing our team’s workgroup data servers and analytical applications. Atera allows me to monitor these systems remotely, ensuring they’re running efficiently without needing to be on-site. The platform notifies me in real time of any hardware/software issues or potential security threats, which means I can address problems before they escalate and disrupt our workflow. For instance, I can resolve server issues on my own before they impact the team, or I can escalate them to IT with a support ticket or through live chat. This flexibility means no downtime, which is essential for our fast-paced projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“AI-Powered Data Observability with rich feature set”
What do you like best about DQLabs?

DQLabs comes across as a fully baked platform that serves data observability needs of most of our projects and personas, our data engineers just love it. The platform is very focused on rich feature set and ease of use. We have saved a lot of time by adopting this tool. What has been really impressive is that it beats other hyped platforms and comes at a fraction of that cost. And last but not least it has a full suite of Data Quality features which our governance and business teams use daily to fix downstream data errors - all plug and play, self-service at its best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DQLabs?

Not much from the product features standpoint or the vision they have, but their support can improve, the product documentation can improve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DQLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?

Today we use DQLabs as one of our most important applications connected to our snowflake environment, all our data sources, our orchestration and dataOps tools, our catalogs, our downstream reporting tools, AI tools, alerting and workflow tools, almost everything that our data connects to or flows through.

Our usage is a mix of engineering and business - our engineering teams have lot of complex issues that they deal with, most of them come unannounced or they are unknown, DQLabs helps us identify possible issues with the help of automated alerts with rich semantic to prioritize the issues that are really issues and need remediation.

Our Business users have complex data quality rules driven by our governance needs, administered by governance council and enforced by data stewards.

Couple of other departments are now also using DQLabs as a semantic catalog to have a unified view of their data assets and data products, DQLabs have made several enhancements to their semantic discovery layer - almost replacing the need for any additional catalogs. “The perfect dedupe tool”
What do you like best about DataGroomr?

I love DataGroomr.

I spearheaded an entity resolution project at my ~1500 person org and spent a lot of time looking into deduping tools. I did calls with 5 different companies, and researched about 10. DataGroomr won out, and I'm so glad they did. The whole team has been so helpful, we cut our duplicate problem down from experiencing multiple reports of duplicate accounts every single day to maybe one or two a week.

Additionally, they have amazing process automation tools which allowed us to automate things related to forecasting, other SaaS integrations, user management, and of course, continuous deduping for our company.

Best of all, it's an extremely affordable, scalable solution.

Also, the customer service with DataGroomr is amazing. They answer me in minutes sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataGroomr?

This isn't actually a bad thing, and I don't dislike it, but I do want to warn new users: There is a learning curve to this tool, and it's unavoidable.

You will need to spend some time figuring out the logic if you want to get the most out of it. But everyone over at DataGroomr is so nice, they're all willing to help you with even the most complicated requests. I actually picked this tool over competitors because of the complexity. It meant there were more applications than just the original deduping I was planning to use it for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DataGroomr solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had an enormous duplicate problem in our SFDC instance with about a decade of tech debt to clean up, and I was the sole administrator of this project. It seemed impossible, but with DG, I was able to get the system cleaned up within a couple months. This is a project I thought would take multiple people at least a year, so I'm very impressed.

I also found out I could automate a few other things for the business. It's one of those tools that has a lot of hidden potential beyond the initial deduping scope, as long as you're willing to play with it and experiment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

LK
“Empowering Data Teams with Unified Intelligence and Performance”
What do you like best about Databricks Data Intelligence Platform?

Databricks excels at unifying data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML on a single platform. The Lakehouse architecture bridges the gap between data lakes and warehouses, making it incredibly efficient for managing structured and unstructured data. I especially appreciate the seamless integration with Apache Spark, robust notebook support for collaborative development, and the simplicity of Delta Lake for versioned data storage. Features like AutoML and Unity Catalog bring governance and intelligence together, making it easier to scale analytics securely and reliably. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databricks Data Intelligence Platform?

While powerful, the platform has a learning curve—especially for teams unfamiliar with Spark or distributed computing. Some features (like Unity Catalog or serverless compute) can be region-specific or limited by cloud provider compatibility. Additionally, job debugging and cluster cost management can be challenging without careful monitoring and tagging, particularly in enterprise-scale projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Databricks Data Intelligence Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

Databricks solves the critical problem of data fragmentation by unifying data engineering, data science, analytics, and governance in one platform. Previously, we had to stitch together multiple tools—ETL frameworks, notebooks, ML platforms, and data warehouses. With Databricks, everything from ingestion to model deployment happens in one place, drastically reducing complexity and context-switching.

Another key problem it addresses is scalability and performance for big data workloads. The platform’s native support for Apache Spark and Delta Lake enables reliable, fast processing of massive datasets. This helps us run ML pipelines and analytics at scale without worrying about infrastructure bottlenecks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Freshservice?

As a project manager, I consider Freshservice an essential tool for managing projects and tickets. Its highly customizable setup allows for efficient task management, ensuring organization and productivity. Additionally, the intuitive interface, automation features, and detailed reports are extremely positive aspects. The integration with other tools and customer support are also key differentiators that make Freshservice an excellent choice for internal management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Freshservice?

While Freshservice is a robust and reliable platform, some users report minor limitations, such as the need for more customization options in certain workflows and the lack of some advanced reporting features. Additionally, the initial setup can be somewhat complex, requiring extra time for adaptation. However, these aspects do not significantly affect the overall experience with the platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Freshservice solving and how is that benefiting you?

Integration with other tools is also a strong point, enabling a more agile and connected workflow.

Is Freshservice moving in the right direction?

“Streamlined Cookie Compliance”
What do you like best about BigID?

I really like that Illow offers an all-in-one bundle for managing cookie consent and privacy policies. But what I find especially useful is the option to use my own custom cookie or privacy policies by linking them externally. This gives me the flexibility I need, so I can make everything fit perfectly with my website, without being stuck with just one solution. It's the best of both worlds—convenient and customizable.

I also appreciate the recent addition of the cookie scanning feature. It’s a really convenient tool that makes staying compliant even easier. It’s great that Illow keeps improving and adding useful features like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BigID?

One thing I initially found frustrating with Illow was the lack of a function to copy configurations from one website to another, which made managing multiple sites a bit more time-consuming. Recently, they’ve added a template feature to solve this issue, though I haven’t had the chance to test it out yet. I’m definitely planning to give it a try the next time I set up a new customer’s website. Additionally, while the new cookie scanning feature is a great addition, I’d prefer if it could run more frequently than just once a month, as that would make it even more effective for staying compliant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BigID solving and how is that benefiting you?

Illow is really helping me with the tricky task of managing cookie compliance across different countries, which can be quite confusing with all the various laws. It offers an all-in-one solution that makes it much easier to handle cookie consent and ensures that my websites are compliant with the specific regulations in different countries. This is especially useful for me because I can’t possibly know all the legal details for every country. Illow lets me quickly check which laws I need to follow, which saves me a lot of time and worry. It gives me peace of mind, allowing me to focus on other parts of my business without constantly stressing about staying compliant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“While expensive, Snowflake is the most full-featured, flexible, easy-to-use DBaaS on the market!”
What do you like best about Snowflake?

Incredibly easy to use. Little DB admin work is ever necessary.

Ability to scale your compute needs instantaneously.

Integrates with a massive list of 3rd party tools. Virtually every SaaS product that can integrate with a DB has a native Snowflake integration.

Huge ecosystem of ready-to-serve 3rd party data sources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snowflake?

Snowflake is expensive.

It would be helpful if Snowflake integrated AI into the database more to help laypeople with performance tuning, query optimization, warehouse & cost management, etc. An inexperienced user can easy blow a lot of cash in Snowflake - without even realizing it - until the bills come due. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Snowflake solving and how is that benefiting you?

I run BI for my company and play a big role in data ops as well. Snowflake serves 3 major purposes for me:

1. It is our BI data warehouse. We ingest all our data to Snowflake and present it in Looker (which integrates natively with snowflake)

2. It is our data lake. In addition to ingesting just about any data we can into Snowflake, we use DBT to munge all the data together to produce final tables that we then push out to our 3rd party SaaS apps (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot, Appcues, Customer.io, Zapier, Python/NodeJS services).

3. It serves as a low-volume transactional DB. Tools like Zapier, Pipedream, and Python/NodeJS services use Snowflake to push & pull transactional data where necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Finally got our HubSpot data under control with Insycle”
What do you like best about Insycle?

Insycle has been incredibly helpful for managing and cleaning up our HubSpot data. The deduplication features are flexible and powerful. We’ve been able to match and merge records using custom rules, and the preview function gives us peace of mind before making changes. It’s also great for standardizing field values and fixing formatting issues at scale. I especially like how easy it is to import data with CSV files compared to HubSpot’s native tools. You get much more control and transparency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Insycle?

There’s a bit of a learning curve at first. Understanding how to build and reuse templates took a little time, and some of the interface elements aren’t super intuitive right away. That said, once you’ve gone through a few use cases, it becomes much easier to navigate. More in-app examples or template suggestions would definitely help shorten the learning process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Insycle solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were dealing with a messy HubSpot database full of duplicates, outdated formatting, and inconsistent field values. This made segmentation and reporting difficult, and it created frustration for the sales team. Insycle allowed us to clean all of that up without exporting and reimporting massive spreadsheets. The result is more accurate reporting, better deliverability for marketing emails, and less confusion for the team working in HubSpot every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Very important and appropriate solution for our AWS cloud Environment”
What do you like best about AWS Systems Manager?

Since, Macie covers s3, cloudwatch covers VPC logs, Cloudtrail with api calls within services. There were some limitations within them. Since our infrastructure may be secure, but in case of defense in depth, we should always consider regular patching of EC2, identify unwanted softwares. Who and when it happened. All these should be logged for correlating purpose. System Manager with help of agents and aggregators shows the posture of an OS or an EC2 or running core. The integration is also very simple with other services to make sure security and compliance is in stand. Coming to patch manager, using playbooks were pretty easy and risk free as it could be triggered based on rules. Thanks for such a service. Implementation and support are always available from docs, whitepapers, community etc, . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS Systems Manager?

Downside is, Overall , in view of compliance sometimes PII uploaded to s3 can be identified with Macie. But when its an image or pdf containing photo copies of such personal sensitive information its hard to identify. It might be stored on the ec2 or s3. But figuring out it is complex. We do have OCR techniques in some services, which can trigger ec2 playbooks. Yes , it can be achievable with right problem solving technique and using the required services.
