I'm quite new to this backup game, but Veeam just blows the competition out of the waters.

We could restore an entire VM of 1.5TB to ESXi in about 15 minutes from a local drive to local. We benchmarked against other backup software but nothing is as close to this speed.
We run hourly backups and the ease of intergrating them into multiple vCenters is just excellent.
Maybe the next step is to actually get a higher tier subscription for malware scannning.

If you're new to the platform.
Navigating isn't the easiest. Config is feature packed. Security is so tight you would love to hate it.
But better secure than insecure.
One small drawback might be the backup size that Veeam creates. They are so massive that you might have to upgrade your datastore just to accomodate the backups.

What aspect of Veeam Data Platform appeals to you the most?
What captured our attention is the convenience of use of Veeam’s flexibility. It is compatible with almost any hardware so there are no limitations. The simplicity of the product setup and operation is outstanding. The fact that the premium platform's DR orchestration feature can be enabled was also especially noteworthy. We have not tried it long enough to say we don’t like anything because we’ve just bought it. Possibly the immutable backup needs the third-party device. But, you can escape this issue by creating your own Linux repository. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
