We worked with them to get their API out. A core part of our service is RAG, and because they have made it both programmatic and self-improve based on different benchmarks, we do not have to develop that internally. The API is easy to use and integrate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is specific to us, so may not be applicable to every person that reads this. We depend on Vectorize for a huge part of our service, so we don't have the most insight into what's happening under the hood. However, we were ok with this after talking with the team and noting their technical expertise and focus on execution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I tested Vectorize.io to see how we could build and feed an internal company chatbot, and honestly, it was the easiest setup I’ve ever seen. Real no-code – just connect your sources, follow the (very good) manual, and you’re up and running in no time.
What stood out the most? Tons of source connectors, a fantastic guide that actually makes sense, and customer service that’s both fast and super helpful. Had a few minor issues, but they were fixed quickly after I reached out – can’t ask for much more than that!
If you need a simple, no-hassle way to get a RAG solution running, I’d highly recommend Vectorize. It just works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No, I haven’t found anything to dislike yet :-) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The easy set up
Support for various databases
Time it takes to evaluate our RAG pipeline Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing as of now. Maybe they should add more features but they are doing everything they can to help companies build RAG pipelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When setting up RAG, I focus mainly on three things: how easy is it to set up and maintain, does it have enough flexibility for my needs, and how good is the output. Vectorize does an excellent job on all three. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maybe one potential area to improve on would be to add to the customization options like being able to integrate a custom chunking strategy. The current chunking strategies are already great though and they provide evaluations to compare them too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I had been searching for a way to create my own custom AI chatbot for my company with our knowledge base and document data. I wanted to be able to maintain ownership of that data, and avoid paying exorbitant fees for tools like Guru, or starting things from scratch with libraries from Github.
With so many options on how to approach this problem, I found out about Vectorize while browsing Reddit and learning about RAG. I was able to get started for free and created a RAG pipeline in Vectorize with very little effort, and signed up for Pinecone (also free) to store the data.
After about an hour, I had everything up and running. They have tons of great connectors already for source data (I am using Firecrawl and Google Docs). I referenced Vectorize's documentation and also started a live chat with their helpful team. Testing was also super simple with their built-in "RAG Sandbox" feature that allowed me to speak directly to the RAG db without deploying any code.
Fast forward 3-4 more hours, I integrated the pipeline I created in Vectorize to our company Slack and Zendesk instances via Pipedream.
The results have been overwhelmingly positive, and this pipeline is automatically updating weekly with new/updated content.
I simply cannot recommend this product enough to anyone looking to get a custom RAG solution up and running without burning too much time in the nitty gritty details, while still maintaining total control over the process and data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's hard to think of any given everything is working so well, but if I had any suggestions, in the future, I would like to see an option to add additional sources to an existing Pinecone db, without having to create a new pipeline entirely, so long as the chunking and other parameters from the model are identical. Vectorize.io is an affordable, simple and efficacious RAG solution that covers all bases, including their latest Iris model that allows images to be indexed. At no point in my usage of this service did I ever feel like things were out of my scope or too difficult to be achieved.
It has enhanced my understanding of and the way I interact with AI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I had some difficulties with the UI and it felt barebones. I hope this can be improved upon.
I encountered some bugs that the devs have worked with me to fix but it has cost me some (but not a lot) of money.
I hope RAG pipelines will be less rigid one day, allowing us to dynamically adjust their conditions / parameters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very intuitive no-code system for testing and setting up various embeddings APIs
Lots of options for which components you can use to integrate your RAG system
Super helpful team, easy to communicate with Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The databases they support are the most popular choices, but there could be more. The team says more are coming every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not much to dislike. I've had a few UI/UX issues in the past but these are often fixed or improved before I even get the chance to share feedback with the Vectorize team Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Makes it easy to connect RAG sources for places where non-technical users want to store them!
Furthermore, Chris and the team are very responsive to their customers at evolving the offering to meet our evolving needs.
It was very easy to get setup and started using Vectorize. The costs are very afforable. I'm quite happy! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It doesn't support all import file formats prresently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

UI could be faster - sometimes time to view tabs lags on high numbers of vectors
