TrueRev Pros and Cons

What do you like best about TrueRev?

I have used other much more expensive rev rec software & this one is far simpler to use. Also, since there was a period that I was only using it occasionally, I would need some tech help to figure out why something looked weird to me & they are really quick to reply & help solve a problem, even if the problem was just I had forgotten how a particular thing worked. I works seamlessly with QBO too so I that has been super helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TrueRev?

I cannot use the beta automatic JE feature due to instructions from our CPA firm. The tech support people are VERY responsive & helpful when we have had issues like this in the past and have scheduled meetings to go over why something didn't work for us & then resolved the issue so I know if I tell them about it they'll solve it. I just haven't mentioned it bc I'm swamped rn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TrueRev?

TrueRev is a very intuititive and cost effective platform that gets the job done for B2B SaaS companies that are still on QuickBooks.

I've implemented many rev rec/saas subscription management solutions in the past, and TrueRev is by far the easiest to deploy and use. If you are a QBO user that needs a bolt-on module for managing your subscription contracts, billings, rev rec/deferred revenue schedules, and ARR, then look no further than TrueRev.

The other solutions in the market will try to convince you that they are more robust, however, I've found that many of their reporting features, especially around SaaS metrics, are unreliable and therefore just feature fillers.

TrueRev is a complete solution for managing B2B SaaS revenue and it does so at price point that is hard to believe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TrueRev?

Currently, TrueRev does not support Xero and has some minor limitations on complex multi-currency arrangements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TrueRev?

1. Very easy to use and implement (took me just a few hours to set up)

2. Integration with QB

3. Great/flexible reporting on ARR/revenue/bookings/deferred and unbilled

4. Price is way more in line with my expectations vs. others in the space that have outrageous pricing, especially for companies with low volume, high price contracts.

5. Seems to be innovating to bring new features to the platform on a regular basis.

What do you like best about TrueRev?

TrueRev provides us with just the right amount of funcationality to manage our revenue and invoicing processes so that it's both powerful and easy to use. Simplicity and ability to start using it. Other providers had very high base pricing, which makes it hard for early stage startups to ditch spreadsheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TrueRev?

At this point, there is nothing that I dislike. I would say automatic journal entries is the key thing that is missing, but I know it's in beta and will be rolled out in 2024. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
