"My personal review of private stack overflow for teams."
What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams?

I enjoy how private and shareable the content is. When someone reaches out, I can often point them towards the stack overflow conversation where they can get an answer or continue the conversation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams?

Overall, it's a great tool. Since our team uses confluence, teams, and email for conversations, it can be challenging to get everything into one place. That is more of a maintenance suggestion for our team though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams?

Although Stack Overflow is known for its powerful search functionality, I have challenges with finding specific information within my team's knowledge base. And the secont thing is Stack Overflow for Teams was primarily a cloud-based platform, which means it may not be accessible offline. Depending on my team's needs, this limitation could be a drawback. "Easily find the reason for past decisions with self-answering QA"
What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams?

A familiar interface with effortless markdown support. Being able to answer your own questions makes reading up on past decisions as easy as browsing regular Stack Overflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams?

Teams keeps nagging that my team is going to expire. As a solo developer I don't use the tool unless I want to keep something for later. This causes me to have to periodicaly log in. The upside is that this keeps the tool on my mind, so I do not forget to write down my knowledge.

The self-answering QA interface can be confusing, as it's hard to tell wether you are editing the post description ot the QA answer text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool for internal collaboration, culturally dependent."
What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams?

It allows productive collaboration between siloed teams and breaks down some barriers, culturally and bureaucratically, that hold orgs back. Fast and easy documentation and solutions if utilized properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams?

It is highly susceptible to "gaming" the system - friends upvote friends to pump ranks and win awards, making an incentive process highly suspect to useless. It also depends heavily on the cultural workings on the implementing org. If management and developers are at odds with each other or other teams, Stack suffers. We had one major outage that wiped a huge chunk of data we use for documentation off Stacks servers for a week and it was heavily debilitating for that week. The best thing about this software is that it used by my peers. We talk the same language and need the same information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams?

The points rating system seems to encourage over-use. Some non-useful questions are posted in an effort to gain points. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
