"A great centralized knowledge depot"
What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams?

The best thing about SO for Teams is knowing that all the information you search is pertinent to your company. It is a great way to keep all the relevant information about standard operating procedures and the company's best practices in one place. The custom tags make searching for information even easier. What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams?

What do I dislike? Hmmm, I can't think of anything that's particularly egregious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Central source for your organization"
What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams?

Information is private, yet accessible, using the same basic platform as Stack Exchange. Once a user is logged in to the team, that user can post for others to easily read and respond; these posts will not be seen by the public. Since the workflow is much the same as Stack Exchange, our team members need less of a learning curve for other sources of their information for work. The login to stackoverflow.com is the same as our team, which is convenient. But, the system also helps verify whether a user is writing a post for the public or for our private team. What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams?

Some features require paid subscription. The fee isn't too high, and a free account has a lot of power. But, the need to pay in order to get the most is a consideration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Same SE functionality I love, for internal team knowledge sharing"
What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams?

Natural way to create and organize a knowledge base - ask a question, get an answer, documented for posterity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams?

I lack the muscle memory to use it. The slack integration theoretically helps, but I find the distinction between search and ask unnatural and cumbersome. Additionally a failed search should automatically become an ask. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent system to retain knowledge inside an organization"
What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams?

Stack Overflow is quite useful for two different use cases: One is to keep track of the learning that fresh employees undertake in an office. I get to know where and how are people being engaged, and how they are progressing in their training. The second is that it helps retain all the explicit and some of the implicit knowledge of the organization. One key problem that knowledge organizations face is when they lose people, some of the knowledge they have also gets lost. Stackoverflow for teams is an excellent antidote Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams?

Not much. I wish Stack Overflow for Teams has a Webhook facility in their API and can also open up some write capability for at least some of their API in their free tier Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very useful for building up a question bank that is very company or team specific"
What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams?

It can serve as a one-stop-shop for a question and answer bank for technical issues or coding questions that are very specific to the Company. This is often more useful than just having wikis/documents in shared location. StackOverflow will be familiar territory for any programmer or techie Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams?

It might be a tall order, but given the wreckage ChatGpt has inflicted on StackOverflow (not the Teams version) an interactive Q&A thing would really give it steroids. But as an Internal tool, StackOverflow for Teams is hard to fault Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great forum for finding programming solutions and help others"
What do you like best about Stack Overflow for Teams?

Stack overflow is a great tool for finding and sharing solutions for technical and programming problems and with Stack Overflow for Teams you get the same benefits but in a more limited scope where you can share information with only those within the same team. Here you can share more detailed and specific information since the team works within the same area and it's easier to find more relevant information.

The information you are looking for or are sharing can be tagged with keywords so it will be easy to find relevant information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams?

As with many information sharing pages there will be a lot of information so it can be hard to find exactly what you are looking for, and even if information can be tagged it can still be hard sometimes to find relevant information if you don't know the right keywords to look for.
