What do you like best about SQL Toolbelt Essentials?

Each one of the tools in the toolbelt have proven their usefulness and time savings over and over again. The SQL Compare is fantastic for quick and easy comparison of two servers to ensure they are in sync for the data objects. The SQL Data Compare is also extremely valuable to compare data between two servers and make the data transfer with a few mouse clicks. The SQL Prompt makes the job of SQL script writing a whiz. The SQL Data Generator is a huge help when creating a new system and you just need some quick random data to test out the design and queries. While those are the tools I use most, I use each one of the tools in the toolbelt and the cost was worth every penny as it saves numerous hours of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SQL Toolbelt Essentials?

The SQL Toolbelt Essentials suite helps speed your T-SQL development with SQL Prompt, which has much better text completion than SSMS' built in IntelliSense and saves tons of time by formatting your code just how you or your team like. SQL Compare will help you do diffs of your environments and sync them, providing a script that you can tweak and run. What do you dislike about SQL Toolbelt Essentials?

The only downside is that it's not free, so I'm always having to convince my organization to pay for licenses, and sadly, I often fail in that regard. The cost is well worth it, though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SQL Prompt, SQL Data Compare, and SQL Compare save my team countless hours every week. The advanced IntelliSense in SQL Prompt, the ability to create custom templates, and the customizable formatting in SQL Prompt exponentially increase our developer productivity in SQL Server Management Server. SQL Compare and SQL Data Compare have become vital to our release process.

What do you dislike about SQL Toolbelt Essentials?

Unfortunately, upgrading SSMS to a new major version requires uninstallation of all RedGate products and then a reinstall so they can be integrated into the latest version (e.g., from SSMS 19 to SSMS 20). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Red-Gate tools are really useful for every day work, and quite easy to use.
