Spinning up a new virtual machine is extremely easy. I love that the driver cd is automatically mounted when the server is created.

I hate to say it, because ai love the platform so much. But you can have virtual machines start automatically in the event of a extended power outage.

Only major issues so far has been the Ubiquiti switch delays requiring us to pay extra for the backbone switches required for the main clusters, and most recently a glitch with trying to install the Acronis agent onto our cluster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Scale Computing Platform?

The simplicity of the interface and how easy it is to move VMs from one physical node to another node. This by itself is the key for me, having previously been a Hyper-V person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scale Computing Platform?

Honestly what I dislike the most is that backup solutions such as Veeam or Datto don't really integrate with Scale. They work just fine with the Guest VMs. If there was some better integration for BDR solutions it would be cake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scale Computing Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had the need to replace our aging VMWare platform during a time where we were also downsizing our on-prem datacenter and moving more workloads to private cloud. Scale enabled us to bring in a powerful, but lower cost virtualization solution to keep our remaining workloads on site, without the cost and admin overhead of something like VMware.
