What do you like best about SAP Data Management?

The ease of being able to pull up purchase orders, BOMS, requisitions very quickly. I also use a SAP based Spec system called PLM which is incredibly helpful for approving multiple specs at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are various icons within SAP that aren't always easily understood. It would ne great to have the ability to hover over the icon and get a more in depth description of what each icon allows us to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The most powerful integration tool"

What do you like best about SAP Data Management?

I like the way tool has been structured, the infrastructure, and integration capabilities.

The most important one is the transformation capabilities with efficiency.

The graphical interface is once of the best features once can have for transformation activities.

The object hierarchy i.e. workflow, data flow and then transformation objects brings in a lot of flexibility and parallel processing.

an expert designer on this tool can build some of the wonderful transformations possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Data Management?

The designer is little bit heavy to use. crashes some times when you perform some heavy design changes / load etc.

The job scheduler is too lousy and not at all intuitive.

Need some more improvement on collaborative development when more than one developers work in this.

Shared repositories need more flexibility.

Source code control and integration with such tools is must.

though the current object library is sufficient to complete all kind of transformations, it would be nice to have some more objects which provides commonly used operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have personally used other couple of similar tools in the market. and can confidently say this is the best one you can have for your integration needs. very easy to use, powerful and can easily get skilled resources in market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

we do a lot of integration and transformations using this tool. transforming data from all hybrid systems to ware house, reporting databases etc.

Data Transformation is one of the key activity of any large enterprise when it comes to integration.
