"Great professional IDE"

What do you like best about PhpStorm?

code reference and quick autocomplete for php functions. I also enjoy the quick access "TODO" list that is generated from code comments. Not to mention the integrated terminal and GIT plugin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhpStorm?

Recommendations to others considering PhpStorm:

Great if you wish to utilize it's many features such as TODO list reference and IDE live templates. Otherwise, most other IDEs are usually sufficient for modern web development such as VSCODE which include an integrated terminal, language highlighting, git integration, and great community support. "The best PHP IDE currently available"

What do you like best about PhpStorm?

PHPStorm really comes into it's element for developing large web applications. It has integrated support for many javascript frameworks, html validation and validation exceptions. I'm like these features the most because they are not as common. The php support is great. PHPDoc is used for type hinting and almost everything can be hinted. What do you dislike about PhpStorm?

The support for quick edits on a server is clunky, weird to setup and doesn't cover all the bases. Uploading more than a hundred files to a server is horribly slow - only one connection is used. There are also basically no conveinence features - such as server side search. Search in general could be improved . The preview window , a tab on the search modal is great, but i wish i could easily increase the previewable match count from 100. Once you leave the preview window - finding anything becomes really weird, the opened modal is tiny and the filtering is awkward - by folder. Why can't i just have my big list ? Recommendations to others considering PhpStorm:

Try it out it's a really solid product. Definitely mess around with the setting and most importantly PLUGINS. I found that most things that I want are already created. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PhpStorm?

I like that it is very easy to use, a php developer who is using PhpStorm may feel that he has an IDE that really helps him to develop a large and organized project. How to search the amazing intelligent autocomplete, grab a piece of code and transform it into a function, duplicate code detection is also very helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhpStorm?

Although it has very good features, lacks the power to create automatic migrations (I use Laravel) and the destination really helps, the debugger in php is very difficult to achieve configure Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you have the money, it's worth it. Still a few details are missing, but I'm sure PhpStorm will be the perfect IDE to schedule in php Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"No other IDE can beat PHPStorm"

What do you like best about PhpStorm?

PHPStorm is the ultimate IDE. I no longer require to have multiple apps open at once. I can edit the development DB with the integrated "Data Grip". I can execute commands on the host and remote servers via the built in terminal. I can also run a suite of tests in various frameworks from the GUI with incredible visual feedback. What do you dislike about PhpStorm?

It can take a while to load a project, especially if you haven't used the project for a while. Indexing can be quite memory intensive and if you have one or multiple vagrant virtual machines running it can cause issues with your machine, depending on how powerful it is.
