"I like its PDF Mix tool"

What do you like best about PDFsam Basic?

PDFSam Basic is based on a free, downloadable and installable application and for the purpose of my review, on Windows. PDFSam Basic includes tools such as PDF Merge, PDF Split, PDF Mix, PDF Rotate and PDF Extract. I liked the PDF file mixing tool that allows you to combine them into one by following some criteria or pattern that you can point out in its options menu. At first, implementing it can be somewhat complicated but the online help offered by PDFSam is very useful and with it, you can complete the task successfully. What do you dislike about PDFsam Basic?

It does not allow you to create, edit and convert PDF documents, unless you install PFSam Enhanced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

PDFSam Basic includes basic and necessary tools such as PDF Merge, PDF Split, PDF Mix, PDF Rotate and PDF Extract, which are useful in my day-day. "My experience with PDFSam Basic"

What do you like best about PDFsam Basic?

The first thing that is appreciated when starting PDFSam Basic (desktop application) is that it presents options to manipulate PDF documents where each option is a module within what we could call “dashboard”. With this application you can only split (in number of pages or size in Mb or Kb), extract pages, combine, rotate and mix PDF documents. It called my attention the option to divide a PDF document into several documents taking into account the weight in MB or KB indicated by the user. PDFSam Basic is offered as a free tool. What do you dislike about PDFsam Basic?

Other options are also included in the dashboard (such as generate PDF as a virtual printer, convert PDF to Excel, Word, and edit, crop, delete pages and visual combine or reorder PDF documents), but require downloading the PDFSam Enhanced application and paying by activating several of those options. "Awesome software for basic PDF edition"

What do you like best about PDFsam Basic?

This software is very simple to use, it has a self explanatory and intuitive interface with a strong set of options to better organize my PDF files. The document manipulation functionalities is very vast, and for those only looking to merge and split files or extract, mix and rotate PDFs quickly, this tool comes in very handy. What do you dislike about PDFsam Basic?

PDFsam Basic might not let you make direct edits to PDFs, but it includes very handy utilities for your basic everyday needs. If you want to edit a PDF file in full depth you’ll need to pay for that functionality. Although this software is relatively inexpensive. "Powerful PDF Software. "

What do you like best about PDFsam Basic?

I like how simple and clean the software is. It is also powerful as I have used it to merge PDF's with over 100 pages in them for email. It has well thought out little features like option to automatically adding a table of contents when merging PDF's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDFsam Basic?

The ability to preview PDF's within the software before merging, splitting etc. It just requires you to open the PDF separately then close it before you can make edits in PDFsam Basic. I also could not find how to password protect files but I believe it has this feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Give a try as its free for all of the basic features.

Its also great that its an offline tool so you don't need to upload documents that might be sensitive to a server. The premium features add a lot of value as well I just wish you could preview PDF files before you edit them to double check what page needs editing or to be split. The ability to merge massive PDF's without crashing and in a small file size that can be shared or sent.

PDFsam is free and open source version, and it's available for multiple platforms. Very intuitive, and well laid out. Easily split and merge PDF's. Very lightweight and loads quickly. There honestly isn't much to dislike. It does what it says, and it does it well. I do wish the ability to edit files was present in the free version, but that's not something that I've seen on many, if any, free PDF editors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

PDFsam Basic has a lot of options to combine or split documents. You can even rotate pages and change the order of the pages, if needed. You can also split by page number or size. "Simple but very useful PDF Tool"

What do you like best about PDFsam Basic?

PDFsam Basic does a great job of getting simple tasks (made complicated by the restrictive nature of PDFs) a breeze. Need to separate pages in a multi-page PDF, easy. "A basic tool for the transformation of PDFs"

What do you like best about PDFsam Basic?

PDF split and Merge or PDF Sam is a multiplatform tool built in Java that allows to solve several of the most common operations in the field of the transformation of PDF files.

Intercalation / Mixing of several PDF files to create a single final document.

Union of two or more PDF files (one after the other)

Splitting a PDF file (in single pages)

Customize the orientation of each of the pages of a PDF.

Modify the orientation for all pages of a PDF.

Surely you have ever found a PDF longer than a book. These files are somewhat heavy and the editor spends a lot of resources when opening them. With PDFsam you can divide them to make them more manageable.

It is also possible otherwise, that you want to join several files. In all these occasions PDFsam will be the appropriate tool.

The program saves the forms, the images and graphics without altering them at all when joining and dividing. In the first case, you can choose which number of pages should be cut, perform an unequal division or divide the file into equal files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When the files are very heavy it crashes.

The option of visual rearrangement sometimes fails, as it does not show all the thumbnails of the pages
