What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

It is an excellent OS with high performance and security. It is very well compatible for Oracle databases as well as other products also. We are using OEL for all our types of databases in our environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

What problems is Oracle Linux solving and how is that benefiting you?

I resolved the performance issues which we faced in our prod db environment where the resources consumption went high. OSwatcher helps a lot to get the details and it is a very good tool for resolving these issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Linux?

I have been using Oracle Linux machines from the last few years, they are fast , robust and reliable.

There have been continuous improvements with newer version and releases . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

In few versions the startup could be faster . This could be one area they can work on . I don't know if that is dependent on the underlying Hardware. I belive they are on the right track with decent improvemnts or the years Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is more flexible and is much faster to use . It is Highly Available and has zero downtime patching znd apart from that Cloud native tools were included at no extra cost Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Linux?

You need specialized skills to work on this like Vi editor, shell scripting, contains in depth system utilities and open-source code. And since this is based on CUI commands needs to be aware Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It resolves many activities like Identifying Binaries, software Packages that are required and we can unzip the patches and deploy it easily. It is also easy to debug using common Linux commands Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
