What do you like best about Oracle Data Integrator?

ODI has been used lately in our company to develop some ETL's needed for data consolidation from diferentes rdbms. It works very well with sqlserver, mysql and of course with Oracle. It is a very powerfull tool with tons of options. en Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Data Integrator?

It's too hard to learn, trainning is definitly needed and is very expensive and long. Deploying then nfrastructure is not an easy ask either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle GoldenGate?

How it keeps track of past changes and hoe all data is saved in specific spots. It stores all data you could ever need for products and has the capability to changes all different aspects of products for our site. What do you dislike about Oracle GoldenGate?

The functionality is outdated. It's complicated trying to make changes; sometimes changes are not allowed and I have to completely exit the oracle application and go back in to make changes. What do you like best about Oracle SOA Cloud Service, SOA Suite?

The best thing i like about SOA is that i can easily build web services, APIs to integrate two completely different systems together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle SOA Cloud Service, SOA Suite?

The thing i dislike about SOA is that it is very heavy and expensive though it is feature enriched but for some customers a lightweight and less expensive products are required keeping budget in mind.

What do you like best about Oracle GoldenGate?

I have been using Oracle GoldenGate since 2011, right 2 years after Oracle acquired the company. It was an awesome project back then with version 10, but Oracle has continued adding tonnes of features to it ever since and this is just the best replication solution i have worked with.

I have done all kinds of replication using Oracle GoldenGate. Be it homogeneous, heterogeneous, unidirectional, bidirectional, on premise , on cloud (Oracle Public Cloud), integrating with JMS (Java Messaging System), we have done it all. We have loved the product so much that we have over years replaced all our existing replication infrastructure using Oracle GoldenGate.

I love that you can perform changes in almost zero downtime, replicate millions of data in sub seconds and their is large online documentations and forums to help you with troubleshooting any problems.

This doesn't requires a lot of expertise to begin with and overtime, you will love working on it.

Oracle GoldenGate now also comes with many GUI based tools like OGG Studio, OGG Director, OGG Monitor and OGG Veridata. These come with additional cost, but are great add-ons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle GoldenGate?

I am an Oracle GoldenGate fan, so it's hard to say what i dislike about it. But yes, i would have loved if it was easier to find syntax errors in your GoldenGate commands. Sometimes it just tells you ambiguous generic error messages for a syntax error. Although, with experience on working with OGG, you can easily overcome with this slight drawback. What do you like best about Oracle Integration Cloud?

The UI where everything is neatly organized for the user to go back and forth. I like how the Analytics and Process designer are build into the same platform. Analytics looks powerful and was able to give insights at a granular level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Integration Cloud?

I wish there were some cookbooks and more videos and documentation explaining some real time scenarios and customer best practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle SOA Cloud Service, SOA Suite?

It's easy to use, with drag and drop to build out the BPEL process and SOA composites For staff who knows basic web services, OSB or BPM, it's not hard for them to pick up SOA. Our enterprise project has been using SOA suite for nearly 3 years now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle SOA Cloud Service, SOA Suite?

In early phase of SOA suite 11g, the REST adapter is not stable yet, so we had to build up an OSB component to handle the integration of rest enabled external systems. also now that we are moving to the OCI cloud, the OIC (integration cloud) there does not allow an easy migration from our existing SOA suite composites (150+ of them now), so that's another pain point there to assess before making any move. What do you like best about Oracle Data Integrator?

Changed information from DB2, SQL Server and other Oracle databases into level records and afterward utilized ETL occupations to stack into Oracle DB target. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Data Integrator?

What do you like best about Oracle GoldenGate?

What do you dislike about Oracle GoldenGate?

This is probably a lack of understanding on our part, but there are some configurations that we could have set up better. Currently the whole replication fails if a table is changed, or DDL statements are ran on the source tables. We do that fairly often, and it makes it so that we have to involve the DBA team for any of these cose migrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Process Cloud?

I found it extremely easy to use. Its very straight forward, The program interface is easy to understand. Able to accomplish needed tasks easily. No need to contact IT. Able to make changes easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Process Cloud?

I find some of the platforms need to be updated as they are dated. Does not affect the actual use of the software, however could be updated to the times to be more comparable to other platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle GoldenGate?

It got the job done, so that was at least alright. I was able to find what I needed, but it took longer than I think it needed to. The system was navigable, but not until I had training on it. Before that I was clueless on how to find anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was more complicated than it needed to be. Without the training I feel that it isn't intuitive. I think maybe the structure should be reinvented so that it is more intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
