the best things about the .net framework are that it is cross platform, comes with an extensive class library, and has efficient memory management, and most importantly offers higher degree of security with respect to other open-source cross-platform frameworks. the downside of hiring .net developers is that the framework is not very well suited for modern mobile-first applications, especially Xamarin makes it less developer-friendly.
