What do you like best about MySQL?

It is an open source relational database management system that is widely used for building scalable and reliable web based application. It is free to use and also known for its fast performance and efficiency making it suitable for a wide range of application from small scale projects to large scale projects. The my sql community is large and active providing a wealth of knowledge tutorials and support through forum and other online platform. It is compatible with various operating system making it flexible for deployment.It is easy to install and integrate with system.It has large number of user base and also have good documentation.It has good customer support. What do you dislike about MySQL?

In comparison to some enterprise level database mysql might have fewer advance features especially in areas of analytics and complex business intelligence. It support multiple storage engine certain advance feature may specific to particular engine and not all engines are equally suitable for every cases. What do you like best about MySQL?

What do you like best about MySQL?

What I like most about MySQL is it provides a clean and easy interface, easy to creates schema and can draw entity relationship diagrams. We can import and export all the queries in an easy manner. I like the integrity of MySQL on mutliple popular IDE's like Springboot, Eclipse, and many more. It also provides the features of backup and restore the data and database. What do you dislike about MySQL?

I faced an issue in MySQL while database connection in MySQL Workbench, as it shows server stopped error multiple time, and unable to find the proper solution of this error. Only this one i dislike in this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about MySQL?

MySql is providing a database storage solution where we can store our personal, business, Analytics related data in a structured way. And later on, once we are required we can get it via SQL script, These are the basics, what actually MySQL provides is industry-level security, consistency in Database, and providing zero data loss solution for the business. What do you dislike about MySQL?

There is nothing to dislike About MySQL since its providing Database services, its family of RDBMS (Relational Database management system), And this is how we expect it to run. But if we see at the technical level, then there are multiple Technical lags that other DBMS are providing in the market, like Logical replication is the most missing feature. What do you like best about MySQL?

I had known MySQL database since 1998 before Oracle acquired the company, and it was a little fun database. From an Oracle database expert, this database was small but powerful to work; I liked the way so simple you were able to install and run on Windows or Linux. The other thing was MySQL was on each hosting server. I think MySQL was such a fantastic database that I made a development tool for this database called DreamCoder for MySQL.

Over the years, MySQL included more and more enterprise features, and this database is now a serious competitor for the big databases brands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MySQL?

MySQL is an open-source software and it is free to use. It has quite a number of community support for the database and resources can be found very easily. PHP developers like us don't need to specially get a license for the development work that we are doing. There are tons of MySQL connectors that are available for popular frameworks like CakePHP. MySQL does not support JSON data types. Postgres on the other hand allows me to store the JSON data in JSON blobs. If the data is formatted in JSON Format doing my data transformation, SQL query is impossible without using an ETL tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
