What do you like best about ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus?

ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus is loaded with options. I use the MDM system to manage multiple, mission-critical, devices and cannot afford problems. Thankfully, I have experienced no issues and can rest easy while the MDM looks after things for me. As well, the staff at ManageEngine are quick to respond and provide many training opportunities. I evaluated multiple products before deciding to choose Manage Engine Plus. Signing up for the trail was easy, at first sign-in a wizard held my hand in getting the system to talk to the various app stores. Deployment to systems also a snap! What do you like best about ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus?

- All in one solution and you can have devices outside of Apple and being a Zoho product its constantly upgrading and intergrateable!!!

- cloud version means i can work anywhere.

- The fact that you can distribute apps from the one location to all the devices at once linked directly to your Apple Business account (VPP) and prevent users from adding apps

- you can distribute documents/content to devices, update them and pull them off, inside the ME MDM App

- you can distribute the profiles (restrictions, wifi setup, wallpapers & locks, passcode locks, emails etc.) to many devices at once and remove them.

- you can remote view in ME MDM App on apple devices.

- manage all your devices in the one spot and have them assigned to users and see what user has what device

- View all your devices in the one spot as opposed to logging in to each individual apple account.

- Devices report can be generated.

- the dashboard tables where the information is displayed can be adjusted to include which columns are important to you such as Serial Numbers, Users, OS Version, Device Model, Device Name, Model No. etc.

- Great app overall and as your business grows from 25 devices Free, it becomes affordable to then pay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus?

- little difficult if you have not done a webinar or discussed with customer service, however the customer service and how to guides are really good. There is a link in each section.

- feels buggy during setup, but easily resolved speaking to customer service chat. 50sec waiting time on average.

- trying to enroll more than 10 devices i struggled to do 11/25, system froze at enrollment but it will most likely be solved speaking to customer service.

- im not sure if its Apple or ME MDM but i wish i could restrict privacy settings such as locations and have conditional restrictions, such as when installing a new app the user can... but after cannot change.

- wish it was easier to preconfigure apps before loading however with developer skills, or a search of the web/help you can pre-code the app setup phase on distribution.

- wish i didn't have to setup the device up manually after loading all the apps and profiles, potentially save a full setup and when a device is wiped to just reload all the hard work in setting up one device, however you'll only usually need to do this once. What do you like best about ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus?

ManageEngine provides many deployment options to easily enroll devices. During enrollment, it is very convenient to be able to change the name of the device for future inventory control. The profile creation is straight forward and goes through all the different features and restrictions available on the device. Some of the settings provide a description of what it does.

The chat function is easy to open and thus creates a ticket for assistance with a device.

When checking a specific device, the asset information is extensive and easy to read. The Remote Alarm feature is very nice to have to locate devices. The Geo-Fencing works well for the distance chosen but as it explains uses more battery the closer the distance.

It is quite easy to make changes and then update it to the devices or groups as a message appears reminding you to deploy the new profile just updated. And more importantly for smaller companies, the cost per device is less than most other MDM providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus?

Since we use Kiosk mode due to our use, it is very limited in what can be modified by the Admin. Icons cannot be placed in specific locations. As well, in kiosk mode, the Admin cannot prevent the users from moving the icons on the screen. The view of the screen resolution and icons are not very crisp.

In setup, Admin is not able to make an App stay open or prevent from being closed.

There were some issues during deployment that some apps do not install.

When creating a profile, some features do not have enough information on what they are meant to do or if they coincide with another feature. With the MDM installed, it is not easy to get log files from the device.

The support is not great at understanding the issues as there is a communication\translation barrier that sometimes is hard to avoid. As well as providing steps to fix some issues are not clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus?

This MDM's low cost of entry is the best I found out there. We primarily use the ME MDM to put devices in multi-app kiosk mode. ME MDM provides us with everything we need in an MDM at a great price!

And, here's a story about my experience with ManageEngine's top-notch technical support ....

At first launch, we discovered the app wasn't 100% compatible with our devices, because they were running a non-updatable older Android OS (ver 4.4.2). ME's tech support team immediately went to work to figure out the problem. After about one month of testing and tweaking, their app developers delivered a fix and the app's successive versions have all worked perfectly since. They truly put the customer first! Honestly, I have no complaints about this app. But, to be fair, we're light users of the app...we only use it's geo-tracking and kiosk mode features. So, we've never put every feature of the app to the test. There may be a downside somewhere, but I haven't found one yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
