you have to be an equal partner with the team to get what you want created. for example when our marketing team was sending edits on the format of customer emails - the lambda team made use go and create fake user accounts in order to have the system send us the email templates for review. You would think their team could generate those and send them to us for review, rather than force us to go create some dummy accounts repeatedly in order to see what we're working on. Most of the service works this way, you go in and create 'tickets' to their help desk for items you need actioned and they assign it to a representative that works on the case. The interface is fairly rigid. It's not easy to add needed features that enhance the student experience. The ability to have different layouts that make the UX better requires a lot of custom development which takes in turn, takes a lot of time.
