The database is very easy to use and has great features. The software is completely integrated into the IBM i OS so much of the overhead and manual processed required by other databases is handled for you entirely behind the scenes to free you up for real business requirements and responsibilities. Sometimes working with IBM can be an issue in relation to support or speed in which they can make adjustments to the product. On occasion issue or support calls can progress at a slow pace to resolution. Many people in the computer world consider the IBM i an old architecture so it has a somewhat tainted reputation in regards to getting new/younger people involved with the platform. . What problems is IBM Db2 solving and how is that benefiting you?
