What do you like best about IBM Db2?

DB2 is scalable in that we can grow without disruption to workflows. The integrity and resilence is stable and since moving to DB2.LUW we have had minimal downtime relative to product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Db2?

The pricing module for DB2.LUW is still based on a distributive platform. For those running the product under LInux on the mainframe, product expense could steer folks away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM Db2?

Querying is fast for large chunks of data. Legacy systems without referential integrity are fast when compared to opensource DBs like Sybase.

Updates and Security Patches are released in a controlled manner and it is easy to plan around it.

Java Method Support is good to use. DB2 IBM support is good. Any issues will be addressed quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Db2?

Nothing that I can think of . Really cant say any difference between DB2 and the other DBs in the market like Oracle and MySQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about IBM Db2?

1. Consistent with SQL or relational database and good for transforming unstructured data sources to structured data source for analysis.

2. Very fast to process the large amount of query.

What do you like best about IBM Db2?

In all my years in IT Development, we never had (to my knowledge) any problems with loss of data by the system.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Db2?

Sometimes it is a little itchy with its configuration and not that clear on what exactly is wrong. For example while installing a CM8 instance the DB2 Startup failed with some obscure error message, and the reason was simply some missing user acl's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
