Most similare plateforms try to make the problem statement convoluted rather than think of making a clearly stated problem with a difficult solution. In HackerRank, I realy like that the problems are clearly explained and put in a practical context. The key to the solution can be any where between, the structure of the input, the nature of the output or simply how to combine multiple data structures / algorithms to get a single solution. In a few instances, Machine Learning problems didnt not work correctly though the solution is correct. This happend in a handful of occasions though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was challenged sometimes with a lot of hidden test cases. and I liked it most because challenges are accepted.
Since the Hackerrank is the first platform to be used in my life to practice coding, It plays a big role in my preparation towards the coding interview. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some set of problems are uninteresting and less challenged are dislikeable. and platform like leetcode provides the optimal solution for the problems, such that after solving a problem by ourself , then we can compare our optimality with the best case optimalities. Then the leaning happens.
But every other features are great in hackerrank. It is the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use HackerRank as a developer and it is is a pretty good place to go practice if your learning a new language or to refresh your memory on aspects of algorithms you may not have used in while. The certification tests they provide are pretty neat and unique, I have mine displayed on my LinkedIn profile. I like that each problem has it's own dedicated discussion forum where people can discuss and ask questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The support for newer languages like Go and Kotlin are seriously lacking, and I use other sites to practice with these languages. They no longer seem to do coding competitions, which was the funnest part of the site in my opinion. Since they stopped competitions I hardly use HackerRank and spend most of my time coding on platforms like CodinGame.
In the discussion forums people seem to be encouraged to post their solutions, which kind of defeats the purpose. These discussion forums are the only place to interact with other users of the platform, so it's not so much of community, at least not like other similar sites where you really get to know other users. Actually, the most amazing thing about HackerRank is that it gives you an awesome set of practice questions on every topic of programming so that you can apply your coding skills in different ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Well, there is nothing to dislike about HackerRank honestly, but if I had to mention one thing, I would like them to add something like code wars, where we can compete with an opponent in realtime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Days of challenge like 30 days of code and 100 days of code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If it throws some relevant tips while coding, it will be benefit for beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked the Problem Solving part more as it has all types of questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have being practicing coding in HackerRank more than two years. I really like the way it organize the problems while improve specific technical skill of a user gradually. Specially it provide set of questions which sharpen programming languages like C++,Java, Python. Also it provide really good questions for problem solving and it rank users. Also the platform facilitate to organize coding competitions which is a really good option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the we can see the forums are not provide essential support for the beginners through HackerRank even though it has lots of good coders. Because sometimes we get stuck when solving problems we can't get quick help from other HackerRank users. Should encourage senior coders to help others through platform. The best thing I like about Hackerrank is the community itself. The discussions improve one's skills effectively. The tutorials provided are shaped as though one is going from Zero to Mastery. Problem Statements are designed with utmost care and precision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of interview questions is the only thing I resent and that sets it apart from the LeetCode platform. Further, the topics need further fine-tuning, such as include more problems that various MNCs ask in their interview sessions. Host competitions for a specific communities of users. Practicing in so many languages is intriguing and that also in Online. I am quite fond with the Examples and Newly introduced certifications. All this makes me strive more and more. I practices on hackerrank whenever i feel low. It helps to keep my mind sharp as well as improve my skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
On-boarding helping, for example i used to do coding in java initially then i changed to javascript. The change was not vast but how to setup the function to take input and showing output made quite difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Many tests that your code needs to pass. This especially will help you know how efficient your code is.
The categories of topics such as algorithm, Data Structure, General programming.
The new certificate option.
The contests that are organized.
The diversity in the questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
some of the questions have problems. For example the question is really vague and misleading, the tag is not compatible with the questions, for example a medium or hard question is tagged as easy.
It would be really good to give the user to answer the question in a timmed manner (such as interview) or unlimited time (for the sake of practice and learning only)
Provide the user with tips on what is the topics of the question and sources with contents that they need to master and learn in order to tackle similar questions! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
