The interface. For every coder or the ones that are trying to get into coding, this is the best platform to start with. All the self-curated programs are with neat and well-explained logic for the beginners. I can also use it as the compiler for various programs. At times, I recommend people to open up the hackerrank compiler while using it on other's computers. The other thing about hackerrank that I like is we can organize hackerrank contests easily with friends and also for a small group of people, we use the library programs in the test, and its a hassle free process to do the background work. To be honest Nothing, I almost like everything. But sometimes, there are few server problems. I guess it's ok. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love HackerRank, its best platform to practice and improve skills in programming/scripting. I used it for a couple of years already and it really helped me with my python scripting. Hacker Rank is a great way to practice trivia. You can learn a lot by doing things, but good at Hackerrank good at programming. It's good for filling in gaps in your knowledge and making you think. I don't dislike it at all, but it would be nice to have much more coding challenges(python). I wish they had more tutorials with better quality, so I don't have to go to some other sites. If they will be able to improve that part then most of their users can learn and practice in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've taken several programming classes, which teach fundamentals and offer plenty of knowledge to memorize — however, there's no substitute for practicing building small programs to solve challenges and problems. Hackerrank has been a great supplement for more formal learning, as they have a constant stream of exercises and challenges on which to test new skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't have any critiques — I've only used the platform for the practice problems, which are great. No comment on the career or other services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's got a whole lot of good "homework problems" as I like to call them. Usually there's some known algorithm that solves them and they're good practice. They also offer some certifications for problem solving, languages, frameworks/tools, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the descriptions of what they are looking for are bad, but usually the "discussion" tab has clarifications or helpful tips if you're stuck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hackerrank offers quality programming challenges to get a certification. I really felt challenged and proud to be able to solve them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
30 Days of Code practice problems are excellent, but they need to update the problems to meet current Go lang specification, such as Go lang has generics too. However, Day 21 don't provide generics code options for Go languange. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Understanding concepts like DSA and aslo able to use it to improve skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dont find disadvantages for now atleast as i havent used much Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform was fast: I did not have to wait too long when I submitted a solution. It was also fairly easy enough to see which tests were failing and respond accordingly. The instructions were also clear, no confusion there. There was no particular issues that I could notice when I attempted my coding challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not feel like the questions represent skills that are needed in the workforce. It would be nice to see questions that are less about competitive programming and more about tasks that are required at work everyday. For example, questions about working with APIs for backend roles, or working with some particular frameworks for specialized roles. Also, it would be nice if there was an easier way to add custom test cases, I feel like the current way is quite clunky sometimes in terms of formatting required to add test cases. I really like their programming challenges. I come to the website often to solve at least 1 challenge before I end my visit. It helps to keep your mind sharp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have not really encountered anything with regards to elements that I dislike about HackerRank. I suppose 1 improvement could be an overall dark mode/theme that is toggleable (the keyword is "overall", since their already have dark mode for their code editor). The variety of coding questions available. Additionally, it has a practice platform for many of our programming skills. Moreover, the newly added feature of getting certified based on our various skills makes the platform even more fascinating and engaging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing really. It could be better though if it recommended problem questions with company tags, as to which company has asked these questions and so on. Also, it would be better had it been incorporated with some learning material, and some more frequent coding contests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Questions are challenging and drive developers to think outside of the box. It is possible to learn a new data structure and/or algorithm for the best solution of every problem if you are a junior developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Whole website feels... dead. Most of the comments in discussions are 6 years old and new contests does not appear frequently as they used to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
