Well, i think hiring challenges are the best part of HackerEarth coz most of the time i lands in an interview is just bcoz of HackerEarth hiring contests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
During the contest in full screen mode, you cannot paste code from one question to another and also if your internet gets disconnected in full screen mode then evaluation of your problem gets struck in for infinite time untill you refresh that page by yourself and if you refreshes contest page during contest it will give you warning.. The best thing about Hackerearth is that it provides an extremely good number of questions which are of all difficulty levels and gives an overall idea about the programming pattern in the current scenario. This makes it the best platform for every programmer. The thing that I dislike sometimes is the platform is not compatible sometimes with some of the features. Also, Hackerearth should try focussing more on other domains like AI,ML,Android, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that HackerEarth has a built-in IDE on the same page as each contest question. I also like that you not only have access to the testcases after the end of each contest, but you can also create your own testcases during the competition, and HackerEarth provides the answers to those made-up testcases. I don't like that for every question, I have to re-select my language every time. Other contest sites automatically set the language on the IDE for the last language selected so that you need to select a language only on the first problem and whenever you switch languages. HackerEarth always has the default language as C, which is fine if you often code in C, but is inconvenient for everyone else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
HackerEarth provides us with a great learning and hiring platform. It helps a lot with competitive coding. The challenges are designed in such a way that only the most time efficient code is able to pass the test cases. This kind of forces users to write more and more optimized code.
The hiring challenges help the people in the industry to get good jobs/candidates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The online code editor needs improvement related to auto complete functionality. Many times the suggestions are way off resulting in slow coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a student, you get amazing contests and Hiring challenges to take part in on Hackerearth.
The platform is seamless with good set of questions. One thing additional is online hackathons.
The platform has also helped us organise student contests in our college too with ease.
Hackerearth supports diversity initiaves like GSSoC as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There can be more track based content on Hackerearth for practice purposes.
For example python based or Js based etc, more primitive level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fact that various ongoing challenges and hackathons are always available on HackerEarth is a very beneficial fact since we get to experience different types of questions and environments and this increases our exposure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There was not anything I disliked as such. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Well the ease of user for any user be it a regular competetive programmer or a newbie is the best in the market. It has a very simple website which is very smooth functioning ,we at Nirma University use HackerEarth for all our programming contests.
Even creating such competitions is a cakewalk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing which i can find till date to be disliked about it,10/10 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about Hackerearth is that they publish new questions monthly so we get lot of experience in coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no such complaint. But there is a suggestion which I can give is they should have one platform for Setting the questions with normal people in collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user interface of practice sections and the various monthly circuits are a boon for coders like us to enhance our skills and achieve the best of us . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hackerearth should also involve code arena to invite a friend by its user id for competing online. It will be a great experience for fresher to compete with their friends rather than just some strangers . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The topic wise problem categorisation alongwith the varying level of difficulty is something which is very good and really helpful when you start preparing for interviews. One can brush up a topic, get started with a few easy questions, then move up in the ladder of difficulty. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The site broke down during a few online coding rounds which were organised during our placements. So reliability was an issue. I'm not very sure about this aspect of late. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
