GK provides our employees an easy and simple way to comply with our security requirements. Management is very simple and accessible. It is very easy to customize your client in order to fit your staff's workflow. The onboarding team is incredible. While other companies might route through several different separtments and have you open several different tickets which then routed into the nether, GK's people are very reachable and very willing to work with you. What do you like best about GateKeeper Proximity Authentication?

It's simple to use and it's a nessary tool now that I do not have to remember any of my passwords. GateKeeper simplifies logins to my computer and autofills credentials on websites! What problems is GateKeeper Proximity Authentication solving and how is that benefiting you?

There were several obstacles that GateKeeper helped us overcome. Due to the nature of the work at hand, there were several key challenges that we had to overcome: 1. we could not be limited to just one type of authenticator, 2. we could not change our shared PC workflow, and 3. we needed the solution to work without constant internet access.

1. Having authenticator options were important to our end users. GateKeeper supports three types of authenticators for computer logins: Bluetooth tokens (Halberd or Trident Smartphone app for iOS/Android), RFID/NFC cards, Email with OTP code.

2.We could not change our shared PC workflow due to the requirements of the tests that are being performed/monitored on said computer workstations. Someone in the morning might start the test, however someone on a later shift will have to sign into the same computer to monitor the same test. We needed a solution that would allow us to maintain this same exact workflow whilst also helping us identify who was actually signed in at any given time due to compliance requirements and accountability. GateKeeper has a special computer implementation called 'Kiosk mode' which was critical for our teams 2FA project.

3. The last bit may not be as important to others but if the internet were to go down for any reason, it was important that users could still login and out of their computers without issue. There's a locally cached database with last used credentials in the rare event your internet were to go down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about GateKeeper Proximity Authentication?

The solution took seconds to set up on my computer and it was straight forward to use. Cheat sheets and guides were customized for our project. Installation was guided and has been working without issue since day one of using the solution. Customer support is extremely responsive and easy to reach. Trident iOS users have to bring the app up into the foreground when unlocking the computer but it isn't that bothersome after you get used to it. I prefer using the halberd Token instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Without GateKeeper, we would have to keep all of our computers either unlocked all day or issue really weak, simple usernames and passwords. Now that we have GateKeeper, we can issue long, complex passwords without having the end user actually type it in every time they need access to a particular computer. It isn't easy to gain buy-in on multifactor authentication when users are already stretched thin, especially medical professionals seeing as many as 100 encounters a day. Gatekeeper's proximity authentication combined with a PIN was a huge success in our environment because of the smoothness of the logon experience.
