James - Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're always looking for ways to improve. Let me know if you would like to meet with a CoderPal or me to help you walk through creating questions. In the meantime, I'll link to one of my favorite docs for it -

What do you like best about CoderPad?

The test builder is great, I chose an existing one based on the profile I wanted to hire, and I tweaked it a bit. The whole process took only half an hour. Then for the actual testing, I got a candidate score against the average score for that job profile, that did help me choose the right recruit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

I found the pricing was a bit high for a small business like ours. But a bad hire costs much more than a month of CodinGame, so I guess that's ok. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

I find CoderPad convenient and professional, it allows conducting interviews either remotely or on-site, allows a big variety of stacks (languages), an online console for running the candidate's code, recording the interview, interactive real-time cursor and highlighting, multiple participants on the same session. It's all we need for our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

I like everything about it, to be honest :) We don't use sound or video but prefer keeping to Zoom or Google Meet Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

CoderPad makes it easy to write new interview questions, create live code pads, and create an easy experience for software engineering candidates. Since interviewing is a team sport, it's easy to view and share other interview questions and update them to keep the questions fresh. It is also the best candidate experience for live coding interviews. It is commonly used, so candidates are usually familiar with the platform, and both parties can see the code update live, so no share-screen is needed. Also, the candidates don't have to register accounts or download anything -- they can just click the link and you're off! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

It's a little more difficult to interview front-end candidates for a React-like question. They have a basic HTML/CSS setup, but I use other software for a React-specific interview question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

* Reliable and easy to use. Just create a new coderpad and send the link to the candidates.

* Easy for the candidates to join and start writing.

* Has ability to run code, to check that the code is correct.

* Lots of supported languages, with syntax highlighting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

* Drawing board is okay, but in my experience, it takes more time to use than simple ascii charts right where you code (in comments).

* Recent changes made the interface more complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoderPad?

great interface, highly responsive. good syntax highlighting, voice features. Playback feature is nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoderPad?

the white board feature is really clunky, laggy and hard to use. Clicking and moving elements, click targets are off, etc. It's also a little too expensive since we only do 1-2 interviews a week Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
